I just hope that drivers can also behave themselves which is getting difficult by the day

At the moment it seems, that if we get any rain at all, it falls on Friday. Saturday should be dry (apart from showers in forenoon) and Sunday completely sunny and pleasant.

hope for a good & safe race weekend

if this is the final race at Spa, that would be a utter shame (if only Liberty learned from the after effects after a crown jewel in NASCAR was KO'ed by lawsuit :whistling: )

Rumours are that Spa is safe for another year because it is unlikely that F1 will already go to South Africa next year.

I usually go on the Friday and buy a general admission ticket at the gate (with rain always possible I dont dare to buy tickets months in advance) but this year that's not possible, I e-mailed the circuit and it´s sold out for all 3 days they told me. I never heard of the general admission tickets selling out for a Friday. Or they are limiting the people that can enter, or the track needs to be packed full tomorrow like on Sunday. We'll see in practice 1.

It's a tribute to the 1971 Spa 24 hour winner I think?

So who's the first one to beach it? I say Lawson.

Ok, this will be my last negative post of this race..I promise. Man they have butchered the character of the track. Especially the corner with no name and the heinous Paul Riccard type paint.

Bottas with traditional issues. When will he get Free Problems session?

Also, grid penalty along with Verstappen, Leclerc, Norris, Ocon, and Schumacher. Should render the race quite interesting.

Yeah, what happened to Spa as Forest Circuit? Imagine if Monza cut all their trees, it would look horrible. :yuk:
Obviously they could plant more trees, but that won't show until 2050s.

I agree that the paint at Eau Rouge and the final corner doesn't look great, but I was going to say how much better the rest of the circuit looks. A lot more gravel and more challenging again.

Makes qualifying fairly meaningless when over a quarter of the grid have penalties
