They had their chances and never took it

The whole reason Max drove like he did today, launching against Lewis from 3 car lengths back on lap 1, weaving on the straight and whatever else, is because if there's any contact between them, he wins the title by default

Finishing on Equal points means more wins decides the champion and Max had 10 to Lewis' 8 IIRC

Unless he could make it 1000% look like a race incident he would have been docked points. They already warned about that

Come on Toto, you’ve already got 8 constructors and 7 drivers championships in a row, let this one go

Mercedes is really showing their true colors this season. Ever since we lost Niki it’s going downhill.

Lewis really seemed to be at peace with it in his interview with button. Wonder what his stance is.

Max would never beat Lewis with the not agressive style. The Merc is so much faster since the engine update.
Another thing, Max was in my opinion too early with the attack, but had luck that Lewis couldn't counter on the biggest straight.

If Mercedes can really get away with this, I think that they will lose any credit worldwide, especially after they tweeted in Brazil that they want to win the Title on the track and not by protest.

God damn they are such sore losers.

I know he’s not Mr popular today, but if you haven’t heard Michael Masai’s episode of Beyond The Grid before, it’s well worth a listen. He should probably have another episode just for this season

I was thinking. Even if Mercs appeal is successful, what are they gonna do? Max did nothing wrong there, can't penalize him. Restart the Restart again? lol

See you in 6 months for the official result then.

I wonder who will receive the championship trophy at the FIA Gala Award next friday...

Racefans is reporting that the appeal against Max's restart behaviour has been rejected.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

They can roll back to the result to the SC if the decision to restart/lapped cars shit is deemed illegal

TBH I don't want the championship won this way either

Which means with my opposite curse in full effect, it will be :8: :(

FIA are consistent in making the worst decisions possible

Well he tried blackmailing Race Control over the radio anytime there was an incident, as usual trying to be a Mafia lord. Now that didn't work I'm sure Mercedes will get their best legal team on the job to try and influence the stewards decision making.

Both C4 and Sky Sports news are now live from the paddock awaiting the result

Standing side by side next to each other, never seen anything like it

Good. Now ban Toto for bringing the sport in disrepute
