Charlotte: Sprint Cup is back at Charlotte for the 3rd time in 2015, also running is the Xfinity Series and the season finale for the Whelen Southern Modified Tour on the Legends Oval.

Syracuse: Super DIRT Week 44 is here, this year will be the final race at The Moody Mile. This weekend includes racing there with the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds in the Syracuse 200 along with the USAC Silver Crown Series, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman. Satellite races will be hosted at Brewerton, Rolling Wheels, Weedsport and Utica Rome. All of the action at NYSF will be live PPV streamed on DIRTvision.com.

Martinsville: One of the biggest late model stock car races of the year happens this weekend at Martinsville. This race was originally scheduled for last Sunday but with the extreme rainfall event in the region has pushed this event back 1 week. It appears that the 2015 running of the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 will be live streamed for free on FansChoice.TV as well.

Winchester: The 44th edition of the Winchester 400 is this weekend at the fastest 1/2 mile paved oval in the USA for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Also running is the CRA JEGS Pro All Stars Tour, CRA Late Model Sportsman, Top Speed Modifieds, CRA Street Stocks and the Vore's Compact Touring Series. Several NASCAR & ARCA alumni are entered into the 400 including Chase Elliott, Erik Jones, Daniel Hemric, Christopher Bell and more. SPEED51 will have live PPV streaming of this race.

Other Races: Thunder Road Speedbowl will be hosting the annual Milk Bowl featuring the American Canadian Tour Super Late Models, The annual Oktoberfest weekend at LaCrosse for Super Late Models is this weekend, Main Event XXVIII at Sandusky is this weekend, Short Track Super Series has the Short Track Super Nationals at I-88 in Afton, the season finale for the Bright House Challenge Series is at Desoto.

As a local I have to agree 100% with this. There is way too many night races now, and the only race that is ran in the day entirely is the Xfinity race in May now at Charlotte. Would make the racing better if the weather is hot enough too as Charlotte is finally getting some character back into the track surface again

I think the track has hardly changed at all - but maybe that's the night racing masking it

the pavement they used in the repave back in 2006 or 2007 was alot better on the degradation rate but I noticed the cars were being effected by the bumps more this year.

got free tickets to the Busch race on Friday (if you want some, just click on the Xfinity Series link in the main post, track is giving them away), hope the race is actually decent (somehow last weekend's was so there is a chance lol). Knowing my luck it will be a JGR 54 or Penske 22 lapping the rest however (last time I saw a good Busch race live at the track was like 2006 when Dave Blaney won.)

Dave Blaney is in with a shot at the Syracuse 200. Looks like the qualifiers on Friday are going to get rained out so Pole Time Trials tomorrow are going to mean everything.

Leaving tonight. Should arrive mid way through Big Block practice tomorrow morning. 15th and final SuperDIRTWeek for me personally on the Moody Mile.

I've been to the last 7 Late Model races at Martinsville but thanks to last week's rain I'm going to miss it this season for my first trip to Super Dirt Week. Other than the Big Blocks I'm particularly looking forward to seeing the USAC Silver Crown race since I've never seen wingless Sprint Cars in person before.

Billy Decker was fastest in practice at Syracuse yesterday (31.771) with Billy Dunn only 0.003 behind, Danny Johnson won the satellite race at Weedsport last night after passing Hearn at lap 57.

Rain in the forecast on Saturday at Charlotte right now.

Update from Syracuse:

Billy Dunn on pole for the 358 race at 30.8.

Larry Wight on pole for the last Syracuse 200 for the Big Blocks at 29.1.

The Doctor Danny Johnson goes 2 for 2 taking Brewerton 358 race to win the opening 2 sattelite races and pocket a cool $10k in the process.

Raining right now. Rolling Wheels tonight might be OK. 358's and 360 Sprints on tap.

Will try to update as best I can. Doing this on my phone.
