2014 - Nico Rosberg locks everything and allows Lewis Hamilton into an easy and boring win. Putin is shown more than the cars itself.

Timetables

Friday 09 – Sunday 11 Oct 2015

Practice 1 Friday 10:00 – 11:30
Practice 2 Friday 14:00 – 15:30
Practice 3 Saturday 12:00 – 13:00
Qualifying Saturday 15:00 – 16:00
Race Sunday 14:00 – 16:00

Nothing will happen. I advise you all to switch on only at the final 3 laps

It's not even in Sochi, it's in Adler, which is 30km away from the actual Sochi.

Adler is a german name, so can we take this one as the German GP?

What???

Life is such a lie. Next you'll be telling me the San Marino GP was actually in Italy and the 1982 Swiss GP was held in France?! What bullshit :?

Apparently the name actually comes from the Ottomans, so it's the Turkish GP.

Wait, F1 has already raced here last year? I don't even remember. That's worrying.

Could be the last Russian GP, rumour is that they haven't paid last years sanctioning fees at all.

Good riddance.

So-shit GP of Russia, the worst Grand Prix of the year.

The most notable thing related to Russian F1 GP is the fact that since 2014 edition there's been a tradition of drivers to line up in front of the grid before the start to hear the national anthem of the country where the race is held. A tradition that is only there because Putin played F1 and FIA a dummy because of a moment of silence for Jules Bianchi was followed a by the soviet anthem.

I hope all the drivers will skip the anthem this year, maybe let Kvyat and Putin be there alone. We don't need this tradition because it's there only because of all the wrong reasons.

Well considering that the only things that happened in last year's race were in the first 3 laps (Nico's frelling up the start and a tast pass by a torro rosso round the outside of that lonnnnnng left handed corner) that'd be a waste.

One for TIVO I imagine.

If I'm the only one posting in the BTCC thread while the race is on, I'll be very disappointed. Especially if there's a Ginetta Junior race on at the same time.

Let's see if this race can actually be worse than most of the shit we had to watch this year in F1.

Pirelli picked the wrong tyres last year and they never wore out. Different compounds this year.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Pirelli have gone with the softest compound choices, so Niki Lauda is 'worried' about a repeat of Singapore. That would be lovely, but i'm not putting money on it.

Don't really understand why BBC chose this as one of their live races again

Don't remember a thing what happened last year. Only that Bottas almost got pole. And there was GP2 or GP3 pileup at the start.

Should probably just skip the race. But if I don't watch it it will magically be the best race of the century. Damn addiction!!%&

Gonna skip this one. I usually have them on live in the background even if they're boring but this track plus how utterly underwhelming 90% of this season has been means I'll stick with the BTCC raceday coverage.
