The end of this qualifying session feels a little underwhelming for overall pole.

Yup. Only #17 & #18 got close to it's potential. A bit blue balls but now we can only hope rain won't screw it up tomorrow

 Being slower than LMP2 is too embarassing and no excuse from Mr Cox will avoid it looking absolutely ridiculous

These are the speeds recorded at the Porsche Curves sector : #18 => 265kmh, #23=> 222kmh

Only good thing about them are the sparks :whistling:

Also if my translations are correct. LMP2 is confirmed for a spec motor and 4 chassis options, 2017 will be a mix of new and old regs, and new regs only in 2017, Asian Le Mans an ELMS will have new and old regs through 2018. There will be a Bio-Methans WR Garage 56 program in 2017.

Trying to figure out their thinking behind needing the reduction in cost for LMP2 when the class is massive, when they're about to massively increase the cost of GT.

They're supposed to get 2-3 seconds faster next year, from what I could gather. Plus they now are obliged to have a safety hatch in the roof in case of emergency.

From what I can see there's rain predicted for around 8PM (so 1h into QLF). But Fabs is probably a better person to post predictions.

Not really fond on the LMP2 rules, aren't they looking at the current grid? That's about as healthy as ever, why ruin it with another set of new rules.

The GT rules I applaud though, if we are going to have one GT class they should leave open room for bigger cars to compete (current class is the old GT2 class with updated rules). Hope this will get us closer to the good old GT1 days.

I'm not an expert so I'm not allowed to post here.
