Maybe. But surely you'd have a driver in one car that can keep his car in one piece and another who is capable of setting semi-competitive lap times?

With that said, we are yet to see what Palmer can do in an F1 car. I'm not holding my breath though.

I imagine the option they have is to take their money or spend a lot on lawyers fees to break their contacts.

Surely an easy decision?

"You had contracts with Lotus, not Renault. Bye."

Be better if it was that easy.

Bingo. We have a winner. Loldonado ans Palmface were employees of a previous legal entity and for what we know have contracts that are not legally binding with the new owner. Whenever there is an aqcuisition there is a restructure and as such some people's contracts are terminated.

That's what I'm hoping for anyway. Neither are deserving (Pastor has had more than his fair amount of chances) and Palmface, like Max Chilton before, is one of the most unlikeable and undeserving British drivers to get to F1. Like his father, he is merely a legend in his own lunchbox.

Not really how it works. Sure, they could fire them, but that would cost a lot of money, which they don't want to spent. So they take the money until they have the team set up and then get rid of the clowns.

They could still use Jordan as a mascot...

While pastor doesn't deserve the seat I can't see them ditch his millions for 2016. He's bye bye for 2017 however

so toro rosso officially announced that they will be using 2015 ferrari engines,,while sauber and haas get 2016 engines,,gues they are afraid that toro rosso will beat them with a good chassis and the 2016 engine

I definitely think that Toro Rosso would beat them. This year's chassis was amazing and occasionally even on par with Red Bull itself. Toro Rosso (Minardi) has come a long way, Franz Tost has done a terrific job.

Honestly I don't think Toro Rosso would beat Ferrari in 2016 with an equal engine. They could have from time to time this season with a better engine than the shitty Renault.

I did mean that they would beat Sauber and Haas, as mentioned in the original quote :)

Haas is basicly a Ferrari except for the name, and they were going to pick a bright color, possibly yellow.

A yellow Ferrari...

Yes, but yellow was the race color of Belgium. And the legendary Ecurie Francorchamps was for a long time the only team that was officially allowed to race with Ferrari, except Ferrari himself ofcourse. Classic heritage for Belgium.

It would be a crying shame if Hass was to pick yellow and in theory be the best looking car on the grid, then have Renault turn up with a yellow livery too.

Hass's corporate colors are red, white and black, so.... pink should be chosen immediately, leave the boring black for McLaren's dog.

It is absolutely how it works. The drivers would not be fired as the contracts were part of a previous legal entity and therefore not valid with the new owners. Therefore no money would need to be paid out in compensation.
