Yeah they'd come from 220 mph and then try and negotiate it with no wing.

Also that last corner where the track narrowed then widened again, before they fixed it. It looked weird.

You may have just found the hidden part of the old layout's allure. Seeing the cars scrabbling around the third sector and the chicanes was always great because of the lack of aero. For how long have people been urging F1 to lessen downforce from the wings and have most of the grip come from the tyres and underbody?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Barrichello also managed it in the wet, on dry tyres.

I was thinking 'particularly in the wet' as I typed it! However, that could probably be extended to many other circuits. BAN WINGS, clearly.

Anyone know if both cars were running the new wing? If they are, ouch indeed.

225 mph on the straights, looks like a dump truck in the corners :flag:

Why does Croft insist on pronouncing all the V names (Vettel, Kvyat) like F? Speech impediment?

No idea for Kvyat, but I think 'Fettel' is a poor attempt at the German pronunciation - I'm sure a native speaker can correct me here ;)
