and so in 2015 they'll suck hard and say that in 2016 they'll rape the field and so on until Alonso gets pissed off and retires

2015 bitches

Yes, Ferrari will be everyone's bitch by then.

They seemed to pin all their hopes and effort on persuading Newey to join, which was never on as Newey will never live in Italy. Plan B is non-existent.

Plan-B has already been executed. (probably quite literally too, considering no-one has seen or heard of Domenicalli since he "stepped down")... :whistling:

I think Alonso has about 18 months left at the most before he reaches the end of his tether. He might even leave after this season to concentrate on cycling.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

funny that Ferrari is doing that since 2011

and they're also blew due to their potential hirings
they once seeked Kubica, he got an accident
they also wanted Rosberg, now he is in long term with Mercedes
they dreamed with Newey, renewed his contract

the only possible scenario is Alonso retirement and Vettel parting ways with Red Bull to race for Ferrari

Only way Vettel leaves RB is if he gets fed up with being beaten by Ricciardo.

Or if Red Bull can't get out of it's Renault contract.

I still believe that Renault can improve their engine once they get used to it. Quite sure that Vettel will win the final tilkedrome races

Jenson made his moves all due to Alonso's clumsy pass attempt. Sorry if it was already posted somewhere in here.

I reckon there's a good chance Ferrari could woo Vettel over at some point. With Newey stepping back and this years performance Sebastian might think RB's best years are behind them, and he also has nothing left to prove at the team. A German driver taking the reins at a storied Italian team and bringing them back to their winning ways might have a nice ring for the right sort of ego though...

the other possible factor to put Vettel on Ferrari is the same that took Schumacher out of Benetton: a shitload of money, and they know Vettel is worth of it

Nah only two as even without this move he would have been +2 as well, unless of course his inability to make this move affected the future timeline and the accident never occurred in which case yes he gained 4 *boof*

Just saw the DRS-zones at the Red Bull Ring. I think the 2nd DRS-zone (after 2nd corner) is real bad. It means every pass at the 2nd corner can't be countered, because the driver who overtakes the other at the 2nd corner, will have DRS at the next straight.

If that's the case then that's pretty crap. But let's see it in action before condemning it.

It's hard really because nearly every corner at A1 Ring is an overtaking zone...

If it's possible I'd have one after Montoya/Schumacher corner (;) ) into the tight right hander where there's traditionally not as much overtaking as the previous 2 huge breaking zones.
Then another after the double left hander before the final corners. Never any overtaking there.

But nah, that's not how it's gonna be is it. Start finish straight and straight after turn 1 down to MS/JPM corner right?

No, from Regiotap's post it seems it will be before and after turn 2.

I'm with you on this one. One on the main straight, one after turn 2, with 2 different detection zones. Therefore, nothing needed on the run to turn 2 which is just overkill on an already valid overtaking spot.

Someone mentioned in the midst of the post-race aftermath and argument about Perez / Massa incident that the stewards didn't even speak with Perez (or perhaps both drivers) before handing out a punishment. It's good that the situation and punishment is now being reviewed.

Autosport.com wrote:
The FIA will meet with Force India to decide if there are grounds to review its punishment of Sergio Perez for his last-lap crash in Canada, AUTOSPORT can reveal.

The Mexican was been given a five-place grid penalty for this weekend's race in Austria after being blamed for causing an accident with Felipe Massa on the final lap of the Canadian Grand Prix.

AUTOSPORT has learned that Force India wrote to the FIA after the race to say that it had new evidence to offer on the incident, which is believed to relate to that fact the Canadian stewards did not speak to Perez after the crash as he was still in hospital.

Under article 13.10 of the FIA International Sporting Code, teams can ask for the right of review if a 'new element' is discovered.

The rule states: "If, in Competitions forming part of an FIA Championship, cup, trophy, challenge or series, a new element is discovered, whether or not the stewards have already given a ruling, these stewards or, failing this, those designated by the FIA, must meet on a date agreed amongst themselves, summoning the party or parties concerned to hear any relevant explanations and to judge in the light of the facts and elements brought before them."

The FIA has received notification from Force India that it believes Perez's evidence to be a 'new element'.

With it being impossible to convene the Canadian GP stewards before this weekend, the FIA has given the stewards at the Austrian GP the right to look into the matter.

A hearing will take place at 9am on Friday morning with representatives of Force India and the FIA to decide if a 'new element' does actually exist.

Should the stewards decide that it is the case, then a further stewards hearing will take place at 4pm, with both Force India and Williams to look at the matter once again.

Force India will be hoping that it can convince the stewards that Perez was not entirely to blame for the crash, so will have his punishment removed.
