Last year left a bit of a sour taste in all of us. Let's hope this edition provides excitement for all the right reasons.

Toyota and Strakka tested at Spa today. Strakka with their new Dome S103.

I really like that Strakka-Dome. Or did, that paint scheme is just plain ugly.

Isn't there a better fan made poster that you can post in the opening post instead of the official one? :flag:

It's not a big deal really but I wonder if there's really going to be a full grid on track for the start of the race? I don't recall a LM that ever seemed to have so much trouble filling the garages due to pull-outs, money problems and just plain incompetent entries.

I've been quite lax with following motorsports this season, but I can't wait to set up my base of operations for a week of LM action. Something tells me, though, that this is genuinely going to be Toyota's year. It's certainly about time they did it.

I think its more due tot the last reason, incompetent entries. There are enough component teams In sportcars that want an entry. And bad planning organisation, giving 6 entries to AM is just plain stupid.

StanV, you should have let deggis open the Le Mans thread, you F1 boy :(

Still, link to onboards streams to be updated into the opening post :whistling:
http://www.porsche.com/usa/eventsandrac ... estreaming

Probably Audi is gonna provide their typical ones, as well

Such a let down to see Toyota and Porsche with only 2 cars...

Pretty sure that "F1 boy" is the exact opposite description of me

Spoiler:
For the record, just in case that wasn't a joke: been to F1 twice vs. every Spa LMES/LMS/WEC-race since 2004 and 17 editions of the Spa 24H. ;) My room is plastered with GT and sportscar posters and scale models, not a single F1 or single-seater in sight :p Only thing keeping me away from Le Mans has been university obligations, sadly.

So, how many hours of repairing-barrier-yellows will we have?

It was a "half joke"(if that makes sense). I knew about your long time close following of sportscar racing but you your love for current shitty F1 makes you an "F1 boy" now :p You should be like Martin Haven or Hindy :whistling:

The support races on Saturday:

11.15-12.00 Carrera cup FR/GB

Group C entry list is not apparently available yet.

It's mean that the Legends race is the first one to run. I remember having to go up before 7 in the morning to catch the train in Paris, to be on track in time to see the Legends race when I was there in 2012. Same dilemma on TV. Then there are several hours of wasting time until something interesting happens on track.

Hopefully a lot less thanks to the new slow zone procedure, see OP. And last year was like it was because of the soil and they gave up too much.

Speaking of the track, Tertre Rouge is being slightly edited at this moment according to photos, not sure what they're changing but it will be probably ok compared to this bit...

http://www.dailysportscar.com/?p=30697

Further plans now include the replacement of the grass between track and armco between Mulsanne Corner and the Porsche curves – That in itself will lead to a major visual change for the circuit! It’s not currently clear when that further change will be introduced.

How is that going to make any difference, especially on a straight, since the run-off area is so small. :slaphead: And then they do nothing to those armocs straight from the 1970s. I'd rather keep the grass and upgrade the armcos to the kind of ones with fencing. I'm always wondering what if an airborne accident happened in that part. Hello trees.
