Perez wants his cheddar tyres back as there's no other way he can get on Hulk's level.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

tbh, I'm not sure if his comments are entirely related to that. I think he believes with the "cheese" tyre he have more chance to get a podium in a midfielder

With the tyres as they are, he was better than Hulk on Bahrain and gave FI their first podium since Fisichella and was on Hulk's pace in Chinese GP finishing some position down due to his bad performance on wet qualifying

Nevertheless, the tyres are still quite "cheese-like". Previous manufacturers never provided F1 with tyres this soft, bar on qualifying tyres' era. The difference of laptime between the first quick qualifying lap and the subsequent ones is too big for my taste.

But his GP2 argument is irrelevant because the GP2s uses the same tyres as F1, so if Pirelli brought softer tyres, it wouldn't make a difference to the gap to GP2

Btw, last year, both DAMS cars were on front row too:
OS NO DRIVERS TEAMS LAPS TIME GAP INT. KPH LAP SET ON
1 1 M. Ericsson DAMS 10 1:28.706 188.916 16:23:57
2 2 S. Richelmi DAMS 10 1:28.871

Today:
POS NO DRIVERS TEAMS LAPS TIME GAP INT. KPH LAP SET ON
1 8 S. Richelmi DAMS 10 1:29.293 187.674 16:00:36
2 7 J. Palmer DAMS 9 1:29.421

Curiously, Leimer's P6 time from last year's qualifying is exactly the same as today's pole.

So, this year tyres are no more than 0,6s slower as GP2 cars haven't changed, only the tyres. And last year I think they used Soft compound in GP2. I don't know which compound they used today, but if it was the Mediums ones, then that difference is even smaller.

They've binned a lot of historical cars as Monaco so far.

I guess that's not enough to find potential buyers, unless they've made that in abu Dhabi
