I was referring to Codename's comment about the front wing.

http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2014/02/ ... ies-house/

Quote:
It is odd that those who diligently scour Companies House looking for Formula 1 stories to sell to newspapers have failed to notice a rather significant development in the last few weeks. When it was announced that the Bavarian authorities would commence proceedings against Bernie Ecclestone, it was agreed that he would stand down from the board of Delta Topco Limited but would continue to run the business on a day-to-day basis, “but subject to increased monitoring and control by the board”.

That was on January 16. It was not announced that he would stand down from a string of other directors positions in the F1 empire as well. If one checks out Companies House one finds that there are “appointment terminated” notices for Ecclestone with Formula One World Championship Ltd, Formula One Hospitality and Events Services Ltd, Formula One Management Ltd and Formula One Administration Ltd, the major operating companies of the group. These are all dated January 21.

Thus far, no replacements have been appointed.

It is rather odd that this has not been reported given that it is a very significant change in Formula 1. I guess that I will have to start looking in Companies House on a daily basis…

Down to a 34.2 now. That's only 2 secs off last year's pole time.

Without DRS, without full revs, with only 11 cars to rubber the track...

Nice to see they have continued their form as best team to follow on Twitter :)

Kevin Magnussen seems alright - I haven't followed him for long, but he does seem like a 'decent bloke'.

Interesting from Autosport feed. I wonder if marshals at Melbourne will be able to touch crashed cars?!

11:54 The main reason the track recovery workers are not allowed to touch the cars is due to the new energy recovery systems being used this year.

Ramzy explains: "We had a red flag for half-an-hour this morning [when Chilton stopped], but the reason was that the car was not safe as far as ERS was concerned.

"Even the mechanics were standing there waiting for the car to be neutralised. Due to the evolution of the cars with the electrics, we don't touch the cars until the teams are out there and that is by their own request."

So if a fire would broke out they wouldn't be allowed to extinguish it?

I really assumed that there would still be an 'E' button like there always has been. Perhaps they haven't sorted the cars out to that extent? Maybe it's an insurance thing?

In any case, I doubt extinguishing a car fire will be a problem.

Yeah I was just reading about that and considered posting it. It is worth noting that this was for charity.

The car's broken and the driver's debatable, but at least the ejector seat works
