why would Kehm lie?

Maybe his family don't want to world to know the truth or maybe Streiff is craving the attention.

I would love to know what the real situation is but I fear the next real news we'll get is that he passed away. It being in the next few weeks, months or even years. We probably will never know how good or bad he is right now.

this. i didnt want to voice it earlier, but reading about a funeral which took place a couple of weeks ago wouldnt surprise me.

No-one is calling Sabine Kehm a liar, whereas Streiff is. Why? Streiff has nothing to gain out of his comments, whereas Kehm (acting on behalf of the Schumacher family) does.

Kehm / Schumacher's stance is doing nothing but causing people to fantasize worst case scenarios and then criticize others who actually have a valid opinion on dealing with life altering injuries.

Back when Schumi was in F1, he tried to keep his Family as private as possible.. Think about that..

his staff kept the modus operandi even after the accident

the worst feeling on those milestones days are that they can announce his death, but maybe he's just ok and taking his time to get well

What I wonder, if Streiff really is a close friend, wouldn't he respect the family's wish to keep things quiet?

For goodness sake micha, cut it out. Why do you feel the need to unnecessarily question Streiff?

The irony here, which no-one has yet pointed out, is that the comments of Streiff that Kehm and Saillant have gone to great lengths to discredit... they have then gone to use almost word for word in their own subsequent "update"... (which means Streiff was telling the truth all along, but because it didn't come from Kehm / Saillant then it cannot be true)

Who cares if Streiff is or is not a family friend.

My italian is not perfect, anyway I guess it's better than google translator...

"Schumi, no miracle at sight." Medical expenses at 13,5 million

As affirmed, to Daily Express, a source close to the infirmary/medical team that is taking care of the champion on his Swiss home. Michael weights 45kg and is now incapable of talking or walking. The Doctor that treated him at Grenoble: "3 years to see any improvement"

"Schumacher's progress is painfully slow. You don't have miracle at sight". It's what a Daily Express source claims. The informant, kept anonymous(it's only known to be someone who claims to be close to the medical staff that is treating Michael) also claims that he's incapable of talking or walking and has "very limited consciousness" of the enviroment surrounding him.

Assists the ex-Ferrarist, on his swiss room, a team of 15 specialists among fisiotherapist and neurologist coordinated by Doctor Richard Frackowiak.

The team is in constant contact with Professor Jean-François Payen, one of the doctors that treated the German in Grenoble. According to Payen, we'll need "at least 3 years to see any improvement"

Since that disgracefull day of 29 dec 2013, Schumi lost 25kg to be now with less than 45kg

Personally, I wouldn't believe a single source quoted by the Daily Express. They are even worse than the Daily Mail when it comes to using made-up bullshit to grab headlines.

Time: How will Michael Schumacher?
Sabine Kehm: He made a lot of progress over the last year, taking into account the severity of the accident. But it is also certain that he will need a lot a lot of time to recover.

- What is the state of consciousness?
- SK: His family does not wish to say more about his condition. I can just add that since his transportation from the hospital [CHUV] to his home in Gland, in September, it is closely followed by doctors.

- After months of efforts to preserve her privacy and that of her family, why speak now?
- SK: I'm not here to talk about the state of Michael but because Audemars Piguet has completed its project and that the watch is ready. I am glad that finally you get there.

Well, I guess we have to respect that. Michael is very likely in a permanent vegetative state though I guess:/

Not quite PVS based on the updates we've been given over the past year because there does appear to be some level of interaction, but basically a minimal level of consciousness state as Hartstein defined it.

I do not know how reliable this is, but according to a short article in a Belgian newspaper today, Schumacher doesn't realise what is happening or has happened, and weighs only 45 kilogram. Not very positive then.

Sounds plausible. The fact nothing is told to the public must be because his condition is too saddening.

As a McLaren/Hakkinen-fan I did not like that moment but now it's even giving me goosebumps.

Legendary.

It was pretty much the only interesting thing in a pretty dull race that people like to talk up as being some epic dual because it was a season finale.

it was quite special for me as it was the first Ferrari drivers championship I saw, after years watching Schumacher failing
