Why don't they just let lapped cars drop to the back rather than having to make up a whole lap? So stupid.

Did they really wait until Webber was behind the SC? That is BS.

They should just restart in the order that the race was neutralised. If Car A has managed to lap a few cars before Car B, Car B just has to get past them after the race restarts.

We've spent 6 laps behind a SC waiting for 1 driver to drive an extra lap for a problem that was essentially over by the time the SC got on track.

They'd get a free lap of fuel and less tyre wear. You'd get an advantage from being lapped.

Even if you do let them get a lap back, do you really have to wait for them to make it all the way back around to the end of the line? Getting a lap back is enough of an advantage, surely? Save some time!

If its the first part of the race, just let them restart in order. If its the end of the race, get the lapped cars out of the way.

How? For now let's just say there's 5 cars in the race and the order when the SC comes out is 1. Vettel 2. Rosberg 3. Hamilton (-1 lap) 4. Alonso 5. Webber. When the SC goes in the order is 1. Vettel 2. Rosberg 3. Alonso 4. Webber 5. Hamilton (-1 lap). How's Hamilton gained anything?

If you mean leave then a lap down then you're right. If you mean just give them a lap back and move them to the back (which is a common suggestion) then they get free fuel.

When the lap time is 100 seconds in most instances, it takes too long to make it back up with the minimum lap time rule

I mean leave them a lap down. Artificial, maybe, but no more artificial then all the lapped cars getting a lap back as soon as the SC comes out.

best strategy would be RoGro to divebomb vettel out of the race and Raikkonen going for the win of the race

You mean DO pull a Grosjean and take Vettel out. Good for the championship. ;)
