Forgot to reply to this regarding Newberry then it was 10 pages back, but to answer the question he was a rich kid. Not a bad driver but wouldn't have made it on talent alone.

I don't think anyone makes it on talent alone anymore.

I'd say that's a pretty accurate statement.

Letting Michael Waltrip commentate is act of torture.

I've seen plenty of my racing friends in ARCA struggle after being unable to find sponsorship. I hate it. The younger ones who want to make it to NASCAR have talent, but they can't get there without the money.

I have no idea why anybody is complaining about the finish of the race. It would be absolutely idiotic to not throw the caution and have 20 trucks coming through the tri-oval to the checkers with wrecked trucks just past the start finish line.

They should still do 3 GWC attempts, but remove the white flag ends it rule. That way you have best of both worlds wherein you at least make attempts to finish under green, even if the white is already out, but also don't have 10 GWCs.

Or just borrow ARCA's rule where you can't end under yellow.

Just watched the trucks now, overall a good race, some great saves as well.
Just a shame they wrecked on the last lap, could've been a great finish. But I was happy to see some good racing for what feels like the first time really this Speedweeks.

In reality we would have rioted MORE if it stayed green and Kryle stole the victory. maybe we better count our blessings.

That I agree with. See, there's always a good thing in this.

I'd say we get rid of the GWC. It either sets up an anti-climatic finish or a fucking retarded one. Rarely do we see a finish worth talking about for all the right reasons.

Ideally you want both but give me a good race like that over a good finish any day. ;)

I enjoyed all of that.

I actually think 100 laps is the perfect length. Everyone is a bit on edge from the get go but it's short enough so that you're not waiting 3 hours for people to give a shit.

Although using this logic, one could suggest that all future races in any series should be limited to 10 laps.

Too bloody many.

Fight up front, they'll show Danica losing the draft and going around by herself.

I was just thinking about how competitive that truck series field was last night. I don't think Norm Benning lost the draft the entire night. This might be a very competitive season in the truck series.
