Both Marussia and Caterham are still running on tiny budgets. Their yearly turnover is about half of the next biggest team, which is Force India, and their yearly turnover is also half of the team above them, which is Williams.

So, with that in mind, it's not surprising that both those teams have not made huge amounts of progress. Marussia overspent massively last year, presumably in an attempt to undo the damage done by Wirth, which could well explain why they are reliant on pay drivers.

Although, how much money is Chilton actually bringing? The A-On logos on that car seem very small...

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I'm not sure, but certainly the car is barer than you'd have thought.

It's why the new engines baffle me. Not for the sound, but for the fact they're going to be very expensive at first.

Marussia and Caterham are now improving, but it's taken a massive reshuffle and a relocation for both teams.

If I'd been in charge of Silverstone alterations, I'd have probably went with something like that.

and if I'd be in charge

That would be epic ... especially with the desire to trim wings for the straights, whilst retaining downforce for the very fast corners ...

So McLaren is letting Jenson set up Checo's new chassis then?

Well that's one way to ensure your team mate doesn't beat you again.

should be more reliable that a standard McLaren I'd guess.

Hey! I drove a Lada for about a year. Most reliable car I've driven in a constant basis.

Really fun to drive too. Slow speed-understeer on entry, oversteer on exit.

Force India was testing at Duxford today with Conor Daly. Caterham headed to France for a filming day, using a vanity panel

Nice, lots of great spray shots for this filming day then. At least they have top speed when pushed by the team :-P
Vanity panel is an improvement, definitely worth putting on if it has no impact upon the car.
