Do anyone know the "behind the scene" of Phillip Yau's crash ? Was he killed because of the impact or because of the smoke (rescue team took some time to get him out of the car)?

I did notice there was a marshal struggling to get the passenger side door open.

I Googled it the other day and there was a pic of him being worked on, on stretcher, and there was a lot of blood on his race suit :-(

He was killed by the impact. The driver's side door (it was a left hand drive car) caved in and Yau was pinned in the wreck.

Clean start, di Grassi leads.
