Is he meant to accelerate into the wall?

He had no steering. You'd brake too.

I have to say, this year has changed my opinion of Maldonado. I thought in GP2 he was good, but not F1 level but this season I forgot even how annoyed I felt when he replaced Hulkenberg.

We throw around the word epic a lot but that race was truly epic. Even though we all love the Spas and Monzas, clearly the venue isn't that important anymore if you're looking for a good race as we had the best ones of the season at Valencia and Yas Marina..

I might, but Narain is an experienced driver and perhaps should've waited until they were closer to the corner, so as not to surprise Rosberg.

At least it happened there, and not after the next corner on the straight where they go under the hotel.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

But he also spent half of the year driving like a complete moron. Yeah sure every so often he pulls off amazing drives, but he's also prone to being a tit. And it'll take more than 3 or 4 races without hitting anything to convince me otherwise.

No, he pitted under the first and reset his race and went to the back again.

"There was a demo derby and he didn't have to pass many cars"

He passed most of the grid, including Jenson, in your car Whitmarsh.

Pick up your toys Whitmarsh, not even McLaren fans buy your bullshit anymore.

He really said that? Without a big smile?

He did. Remember this is the same man who lied in front of TV Cameras about Trulli in 2009 at Albert Park in an attempt to get Toyota thrown out. He is scum and I've said it since he was put in charge.

A team with such a history deserves a better principal! He's really talking bullshit. What a dumbnut :yuk:

He's really fast though and he hasn't been a tit in the last few races, has he? It's as if Grosjean's ban taught a lesson to Pastor!

How do you wait closer to the corner when you're current in a corner, with no steering?

Sorry, this is just silly. Dude is doing 150mph and suddenly the car stops turning properly. You hit the brakes. Experience does not trump natural reaction.

Frankly, he's lucky Grosjean caused that Spa crash because it took the attention off of him.

Yeah he's had a few races where he hasn't hit anything, but you can't have half a year of not hitting anything and half a year of pissing off the entire grid. If he continues not hitting stuff next year, then good, he's becoming a properly good driver. But a handful of races does not undo the amount of retarded driving he's done. He's lucky he's one rich motherfucker with good backing.

I understand that, but there was a fair bit of runoff at the exit of the corner, enough for Narain to reduce his speed without causing a crash with Rosberg. He was going to have an accident regardless of what he did. It might have been safer if he had just taken the hit on the outside of the corner. But I take your point.

The bigger problem is that the pro-canopy people will start up again.

Narain Karthikeyan: "Today we didn’t have enough pace so I focused on setting consistent lap times and trying to get the most out of the car. But on lap 9 we had a problem with the hydraulic pressure and steering of the car went rock solid, so I had to lift my foot off the accelerator. Unfortunately, Rosberg was coming from behind and couldn’t avoid me. It was tremendously unlucky but we have to leave it in the past and think about the United States Grand Prix in two weeks”.

It,s still amazing to see how much is changed around Hamilton and Perez, after they secured contracts for 2013.

Yup. But I said it last week and I was right - Anything can happen in F1 and this championship is not over, despite the complaints at the beginning of every thread. This season has been amazing, and now more than ever we can be sure that no matter who wins it, they deserved it.

There are 50 points remaining and Kimi in 3rd is now 57 behind. Webber is of course out as well. So it is now just the two of them. Mark will now have to play the role of the team bitch.
