The Kia Optima is a nice looking car as well. It would fit in well in the BTCC.

Kia's had a lot of success running Optimas and Fortes over the last couple of years in the States so this makes a lot of sense.

On Thursday night I shared a Virgin Atlantic flight from Newark to Heathrow with Andy Neate. I'm happy (and relieved) to announce that he didn't cause a crash nor did he abuse any stewards.

The Jack Sears Trophy will remain after this year, not just for S2000 cars:

I'd rather not have pit stops making a return, don't think they add anything to the racing and disadvantage smaller teams.

Hopefully a revival of those Donington two driver races from the late 1980s?

That would boost BTCC's profile with guest drivers for sure with WTCC or even V8s drivers.

Contracts might be more of an issues nowadays but it would be a good idea though.

An enduro would be a good idea. Non championship maybe, but try and get some big names to guest as the second drivers.

We did and we concluded having Plato and Reid sharing an MG would bring devastation on BTCC.

The "PSOne Destruction Derby" Knockhill 24 hours was won by Jason Plato and Anthony Reid of MG Racing who completed 56 laps in a time of 69 minutes 35 seconds and finished 16 laps clear of second places Gordon and Jillian Shedden. Marshals spent the remaining time clearing debris and multiple incident. In a remarkable return to BTCC, third place was taken by the lone Jeff Allam who drove the safety car.
