7, because unexpected podium (Perez and Grosjean) and for the last twenty laps. Hamilton also had a great drive.

I was close to give it a six because of DRS and lack of action in the first half. Not what I expect from Canada at all.

Didn't we want Pirelli to introduce tyres that saw people gamble with differing strategies?

Not the most entertaining 70 laps, but anyone who voted a 0 is just an angry Schumacher fan really.

I voted 0 simply because when I criticized DRS on the early pages of the race thread, some 3 or 4 members bashed me a lot for it and were all there backing the gimmick

The race came and it stole a potential big battle for the lead between Lewis and Alonso, and stole a real pass that Schumacher made on Kobayashi

To me, a race can't get any worse than this. I know most people will see it differently but that's how my criteria is

Gave it an 8, the race had a nice start, then felt in a really boring pace, but at the end everything changed and the race was very exciting.

It'd be amusing if Valencia somehow manages to be more entertaining than Canada and Monaco.

Gave it a 4. Nothing special. Winner was obvious after the first stop, DRS destroyed most of the potential fights with all the easy passes.

A lot of nothing early on (despite sporadic action after the first round of pit stops) that gradually built up to a very exciting climax....

Thank goodness the top three didn't all try to stay out, they might just have had enough to hold on and the race would've been dull Monaco style if Hamilton hadn't pitted and we just had the top three nursing their tyres...

6/10 took a while to get going, would still rather it be exciting at the end and build up to it than the refuelling era of all the action being over after the final stops as drivers head into self-preservation mode.

Beyond tired of all the bitching about the DRS though

If you think those passes on the back straight were solely down to DRS, you'd be wrong.

Due to the difference in grip Hamilton, for example, was pretty much alongside Alonso before they reached the DRS zone, and even without it he would've sailed straight past before the braking zone.

Don't pretend that we've never seen people pass in a straight line on the backstraight before braking here before DRS was invented, it actually used to be quite common here.

F1 2012 is fantastic this year, honestly annoys me when people look for reasons to go hatin'

7. Multiple lead changes through passes on track, mixed up podium, 7 winners in 7 races... what the fuck is everyone whingeing about?

5 points IMO. Most the time a bit boring compared to the last Montreal GPs

finally a good grand prix here without the safety car having to take care of it. I was entertained throughout the race. Give it an 8.

A nice tactics war with various strategies, a deserved winner after a flawless drive. It lacked a nice wheel to wheel showdown between Alonso and Hamilton for a couple of corners to get a top score. A solid 7 for an entertaining race.

8. A great race. Don't know what anyone else saw, but I saw a battle for the victory between 3 drivers that only got resolved in the final 10 laps with actual overtaking on track. And lots of other fights through the field, even 2 unexpected podium finishers that emerged at the end.

Better than Spain, but I guess most people rated that high because of the unexpected winner.

5 points. It wasn't awfull but it was not the Canadian GP we'd hoped for.
