On monday i am spending the day with the Honda BTCC racing team after the weekends racing at Oulton Park.

it will include track sessions in the twin seaters (aparently one of last years cars with a passenger seat!).. we will also be doing an Auto test and off road stuff....

During the dinner break we will be doing a Q&A with the drivers...

so anyone got any questions they want to ask Matt Neal and Flash Gordon?

i will select 5 or 6 and see if i can get them answered!

Does the BTCC need a signature race like say the Bathurst 500 etc?

What other motorsport series do the guys watch if any?

If you could drive one other car from the history of the BTCC, what would it be?

Does the BTCC needs a street race like the Birmingham Superprix to provide a good variety of racing circuits for the series?

What's their view on possible races abroad (no, not Knockhill) at places like Zandvoort or Zolder?

Could tie in with my "Blue Riband event" type question, a feature race on the streets of Birmingham, no-one could be against that!

I'm pretty sure they do a Birmingham super prix on most Saturday nights lol

Yeah well, leaving the track open for boy racers at night might improve the safety record of the city centre, they'd only have themselves to run into instead of innocent commuters!

well i spoke to Selina Parlmer the Honda teams PR birdy today and said to her about the quesations... she suggested if they are coming from a journalistic angle the may want to vet them first!!
then i told her that there was nothing controvertial she seemed even more suspicious!!

well that was all a bit odd.. was informed that they were not allowed to answer questions apart from ones about Honda!

as part of the day i did get 5 laps with Matt in the demo/race car which was fun.. that came after crashing a quad bike into a tree .. another trip to A&E and ive only just recovered from the last broken arm!
