The issue is that McLaren (and his own naivety) pretty much cost Lewis the 2007 title and McLaren is costing Lewis the 2012 title.

So he feels the need for a fresh start.

Has Rosberg recently renewed contract? Everybody seems certain he'll stay.

The western Pacific has been pretty active recently (currently a Typhoon headed for Japan and a week or two ago typhoon Sanba went up toward Korean peninsula). Hopefully there won't be any storms too significant to cancel the race.

It might not be the best move for Hamilton, in terms of getting results and winning a title next year, but I'm very interested to see how well he'll go in that car. I'd be surprised if he doesn't win a race.

Perez to Mclaren though? That's great to see the guy rewarded for his good performances. I hope he finishes ahead of the red cars every single race.

I don't get this. Unless you have an incredible dislike for Ferrari and/or Alonso which fair enough [various people are still butthurt from the Schumacher heyday when imo Domenicalli despite his flaws is the most likeable team boss on the grid, whilst the team is completely changed and infinitely more inept], if Ferrari do indeed have have Vettel signed for 2014, would people like them more for taking on Perez when they know they're going to dump him 12 months later?

If they do have Vettel lined up, it probably explains why Webber said no to them, and why they're having such difficulty replacing Massa. No one wants a one year rental deal unless they're desperate.

Didn't he extend his deal last year into 2014? after rumours of him replacing Massa started to surface?

Rosberg's deal is until 2014 I think.

And I'm convinced Vettel has signed for Ferrari for 2014.

How about Schumacher staying at Mercedes and Rosberg going to Sauber? That'd be interesting.

It's on the official Mercedes PR, MSC will definitelly leave.

Also, If I'm not mistaken, was already posted an article here with Brawn, or someone else, claiming Nico and Lewis will have same status blah blah blah, you know....

Clever of Mclaren really, now they have two drivers who are really adept at tyre management and strategy to build a car around.

Even if the car is an absolute dog next year I expect them to sneak a couple of wins on tyre strategy alone.

If there's a wet race they should definitely be winning it.

It's basically a list of "you can't bring in stuff we want to sell to you at inflated prices once you're in there. Also we hate youtube and instagram so don't bring in any shit that'll end up on there"

i dont think so. For sure he would not come to ferrari to play the second driver role. Nor i think that ferrari wants him back: he left like a hero and he would have easily become a Ferrari ambassador for the rest of his life but then he ruined everything with his comeback with mercedes and now i dont think he'll be wellcomed back again for what? just a year of driving when he is fourtysomething? I really dont think so unless he'll decide to drive for free, just to enjoy the experience of another year of racing.

And Mercedes in person of Ross Brawn is already denying that Lewis has a 75mio Euro contract, claiming it is much lower and has not been the best offer. Someone at Mercedes is already afraid of shareholders and the worker's council, I guess.
Also it's a pretty damn good timing for Mercedes to announce a multi-milion-euro signing just after they lowered their earnings forecast and announced a large savings program as well as the intention to shut down a production shift in Stuttgart.
