last year proved that KERS is essential...it's going to be very difficult for Marussia without the system....The season hadn't even started and I can see Caterham is already ahead of Marussia, by miles.

And thats very impressive as they where granted the entry much much later. And to think that Team USA was already being planned well before the FIA actually granted the new entries. :tumble:

Which just proves what a con Team US really was.

If Mad Max Mosley didn't had a grudge against Prodrive and Lola, we probably had both of them on the grid.
However, Team USA probably still have gotten an entry as, at the time, it looked really serious.

I still wonder why none of the new teams contacted Lola to join up. Or did Lola demanded too much? Their car was rumored to be in full development already.

Costs for sure, maybe bitterness on Lola's part?

Neither Prodrive or Lola were going to run Cosworth as well, wasn't that one of Mad Max's demands that the teams did run Cosworths?

A silly demand.

But besides that, I think he still held a grudge for Prodrive's failure to enter in 2008 (which partly can be blamed on the sudden changes in the rules, making their entry nearly impossible) and Lola's disastrous return in 1997 (which can be partly blamed on Mastercard who pushed them to enter a season earlier than planned).
without that, he probably let them in without running Cosworths.

Chile announced today a racing facility in the city of Colina, 30km from Santiago. They're aiming MotoGP and possibly Formula One. It's another important character in the South-American scenary and completely capable of bringing F1 there without any headache.

I think we race in a few countries now that I didn't expect too 10 years ago. To quote my favorite musician: Never say never!
