Brazilian sports website globoesporte.com just published an article about the brazilian drivers in the field for the 2012 season of British F3. Here are the translated quotes of the drivers.

Pipo Derani after the test sessions at Oulton Park:
Quote:
"We worked hard to know better the car. We analyzed all the details, and we are sure that everything is ready for the first round. The pre-season tests have given us a good idea about what to do at the grid definition. We tested many setups and changed considerably the steering wheel in order to understand the reaction of the car."

Pietro Fantin:
Quote:
"I had an intense pre-season, and alongside the mechanics and engineers from Carlin I could work on my technical knowledge of the car, which has already improved a lot. This kind of activity is important so that I can be am even better and more competitive driver. My idea is driving calmly and patiently, because I know that having good starts and achieving even better qualifying sessions will make the difference."

14 cars supplied by 4 teams across both classes.

How utterly pathetic.

Jack Harvey won the first race, btw.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Race 2 sounds like it was a bit of a cracker though, judging by the race report.

Reversed grid, lots of drivers working their way up the field, plenty of overtaking, last lap tangle.

I'm willing to bet now that this is the race that the TV coverage shows as highlights and instead shows the other two in "full" :p

Rain just before the start meant a wet race was declared, but everyone began the green-flag lap on slick tyres. They then all pitted for rain tyres at the end of it, meaning the race started from the pitlane.

Well I'm glad I was wrong, the TV showed the first two races, big crash in race one with one car flying over the bumps and into the tyres, nearly flipping... :8:

Autosport reports and Ten Tenths made the races sound hella dull but they were really fun to watch on TV...so there's that :p

Derani missed the checkered and went over the back of his teammate

5/10 on the Franchitti scale

Surely it's the Fittipaldi scale, being at Monza and involving team-mates?

It'll only register on the Franchitti scale when Dirani repeats the flip the very following race.

I know it's been discussed in the F3 Euro Series thread, but as Pau is a British F3 round (and FIA European F3), I'll post this here - live stream from Pau:
