It's probably going to be that way throughout most of the region. The forecast for SoBo isn't looking very good either.

I debated all morning whether or not to make the trip to SoBo yesterday. Ultimately I decided to go and to my surprise they got all of the racing in. I recorded the races again using my photo camera, it's not quite the same quality as my video camera but it's good enough that I'll be posting a highlight video soon.

Haven't seen much video of East Carolina before, that track looks like it's fun as hell to race on.

In other news, Bowman Gray season opener is tonight. Somehow the rain has held off for now (after the forecast was at 100% chance of rain yesterday). Tim Brown broke the overall track record (12.965) last night in qualifying for the Mods.

Rain started falling at lap 39 of the 200 lap Modified race at Bowman Gray, remainder of the race will be ran next week. Heard they had a good race in the Sportsman class.

It definitely has character. The corners are very tight and brake heat management becomes a factor in the longer races, much more so than any other short track I've been to.

Nick Smith got his redemption from opening night at Dominion Raceway with the Late Model win in yet another shortened race, this time due to rain. South Boston had rain wash out the second of their twin Late Model races.

Robbie Allison, the son of the late Davey Allison won the Super Limited Late Model Feature in Anderson, SC last weekend. That was his first race in one of those cars.
