will Eurosport France have live broadcast of the practises again?

(what I'm asking is, how can Telenet customers watch as much coverage as possible?)

As Kevinholden said, TF1 and Eurosport lost the rights in France to Canal+ last year. On telenet you can watch every session of the races BBC broadcasts. For the other races you can watch free practice 3 highlights on RTL and the race and qualifying hopefully on RTBF if they still have the rights.

no need to purchase additional packages then. Thanks for the feedback.

I'd like to receive спорт but I think that is probably 1) only via satellite 2) encoded.

Nope, the tv package on satellite. I have a smartcard for the dutch channels since 2003 (I live 1 km away from the dutch border) rtl7 used to show a lot of motorsport. But now they have lost almost all motorsport rights. So it was cancelling my subscription or upgrading.

All Belgians are now allowed to subscribe to canaldigitaal by the way. You don't need a dutch address anymore, but I think you have to buy the complete starting package (receiver + dish) and let a Dutch dealer instal it in your home

Edit: here is some info: http://www.canaldigitaal.nl/nbu/

Do you have all Sport1 channels, or just 1 ( Sport1HD)

Sport1 HD and sport1 golf. The extra channels are not available on satellite. I hope they put F1 on their HD channel most of the time. I thought qualifying and race are always on there, but free practices could be pushed to an extra channel.

Sky Deutschland's improved F1 coverage this year

Image

They'll also have better multifeed coverage

- Sky Pitlane (PitLane Channel, duh)
- Sky Onboard (Fullscreen Onboard channel is back)
- Sky Timing Page (Well...timing)
- Sky Track Positions (Driver Tracker)

F1 race and qualifying is mostly on HD. I think also practice, since there is mostly no other sporting event busy at that moment. You only won't have the pitchannel and the onboardchannel.

They show the onboard channel and pit lane channel on the other channels.

Now days Sport1 have lost a lot of football rights that's good news, i read on there site that they broadcast GP2 and Gp3 this year and Formula E.

Poster over at DigitalSpy is saying that Sky Italia have announced that FOM are dropping the Pit Lane & Driver Tracker feeds for this year.

Will hopefully turn out to be wrong.

So long as they keep the on-board feed I'll be happy.

Better, really as it'll have a better chance of getting on freeview than the seemingly random selection of extra feeds we get each race.

Maybe they'll also add extra team radio to the on-board channel instead of the pit lane channel like they experimented with for a few races in 2010 (I have no idea why On-board doesn't have any radio, it's a perfect fit imo, more than the pit lane stuff which should have more interviews and overhead stuff from people actually in pit lane)

That's not surprising since cameras are restricted in pitlane nowadays and people have driver trackers app on their smartphones. Some kind of interview channel, another camera angle feed or another onboard feed would be great.

They should just make a good onboard channel. With pit radio and all the on screen timing we get on the world feed. Since 2003 the onboard channel has been useless because you get no info about the race while watching it.

Not so long ago, the BBC would be airing a season preview the weekend before the first GP. Now there is absolutely nothing.

Ad-breaks.

Bruno Senna will be a part of the SkyF1 team in the UK for 7 races.

Sky will also be airing a classic race a day from Friday night, Starting with a fan vote which Montreal 2011 seems to be winning.
