Luiz Razia's mother was arrested today. She was accused of being involved on a big corruption plan that falsified documents with the method called "grilagem" in the backwoods of Bahia state. The method consists of you making a false document telling that you're the owner of a state land and then put all the documents on drawers or boxes loaded of crickets. With time, those papers get an aspect of an old document, so the older it looks, the better. That gave her property over lots of lands in Bahia's wild west. The scheme was discovered by the Federal Police on what was called "Neverland Operation". Razia's mother and her colleagues were all arrested today. Among all of these criminals, there were former politicians that were all accused of corruption in the past.

If that's gonna affect Luiz Razia's career in Formula One, I don't know but...it makes people question whether the money he used to buy seats as reserve driver in teams like Virgin and Lotus are "clean" or not.

I guess that's the end of FOTA then. The most prestigious team & the reigning double champs gone.

Also, thanks to anyone who read the Kimi quotes article, over 100,000 people have! :D

Do you have stats per country? Ever since I posted it on the biggest Belgian forum and on my Facebook it has been popping up in circles all over again.

Personally no, but I'll try and get them. Had a look at a screenshot of the stats earlier but nothing conclusive, just views and a world map that just has massive circles. Thanks for posting it though :)

Renault and Total (Lotus main sponsor after Lotus Cars, around 15 million euros) threaten LRGP if Grosjean doesn't take part to full 2012 season with Lotus.

No Total money for 2012 and an increasement of the price for REnault V8 engine:

Another team name change, yay!

Quote:
The Mercedes-Benz works Silver Arrows team will compete under the name ‘MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team’ from the 2012 season.

Lotus >>> Caterham
Renault >>> Lotus
Mercedes >>> Mercedes AMG

Yes, a big change for Mercedes then. At least AMG has historical significance with the team / organisation.

Mercedes won't be launching their new car until 21st February, leaving them with 8 days of testing

Mercedes don't need testing time, what with Schumi being back in form (according to his fan base)

Haha. I guess they don't see it as an issue leaving it later. I do like seeing AMG added to the name for next year, it's a pretty cool name.

Jensen and Sebastian seemed a bit wallered at the awards.

Interesting. As I recently read somewhere they where planning on not making the same mistake as this year of launching the new car/aero-package late and having not enough time to test it properly.
