It would be nicer, imo, if Canada was among the last 3 races. It would be better for logistics and for entertainment.

Thats actually a good calendar. Would rather Bahrain or China get the boot than Turkey though

Really don't get the China disdain! Not the biggest of crowds given the population but you can thank Bernie for that, but aside from 2008 it's always provided an interesting race. Usually weather assisted but I'd be more than happy to sit down and watch the GP's from 06, 07, 09, 10 and 11 again. 2008 was crap but I was hungover from a Uni night out, and had a headache so nodded off before the end anyway.

Bahrain should be dropped but when Turkey manages to pull even less crowds than Bahrain and the Crown Price is good chums with Bernard Ecclestone, there is little point in Turkey being there as much as I like the circuit.

Malaysian on it's way to becoming a "vintage" circuit too. Next year will be the 14th consecutive event and the crowds are always good as well.

Bahrain in all fairness has had only a few really bad races, 08 and 10 spring to mind. The earlier ones had some good battles with Alonso and Schumacher in 06 I think. Thing is with Bahrain, they don't really have a chance of getting F1 to be popular when the population is only around half a million.

I'm not directally affected by the decision, but F1 in pay TV on the United Fucking Kingdom, is just plain mental.

And seeing how the Pirelli ice tyres cope.

To be fair though, if the weather was June-like in Canada towards the end of the year, a season finale in Canada would own so bad. Shame it's not possible!

 what a dope I am.

I didn't see that the season is going untill late november, I thought it could fit Canada in early October but even that is maybe not possible given that Canada is even colder than central European countries.

18/3 Melbourne
25/3 Sepang
8/4 India
22/4 Korea
29/4 Shanghai
20/5 Barcelona
27/5 Monaco
10/6 Silverstone
24/6 Valencia
8/7 Germany
22/7 Hungary
19/8 Spa
26/8 Monza
9/9 Montreal
23/9 Austin
7/10 Interlagos
21/10 Singapore
28/10 Suzuka
11/11 Bahrain
18/11 Abu Dhabi

I guess you could try working it in that way, but I guess we could all play happy calenders when we've not got other considerations to take in.

Yeah, but Bahrain and Abu Dhabi the two final races. For me, that means that the season ends in Suzuka.

Brazil is the final GP though?

Ryan's calendar is just the best logistically.

However, it just won't work that way. You can't get the ideal weather for every grand prix, unless you want to just have like the 'Asian leg', 'European leg' then the 'American' leg. (Albeit, a far smaller leg).

I know F1 is going to cut costs, but finding the perfect calendar is nigh on impossible.

I mixed up the calendars posted here.

Marussia's director is reported to have said that Robert Wickens will get some races at the end of the season (from Singapore possibly), haven't decided which driver will be replaced.

It's true that what he is showing is not enough. He started the season reasonably well, but then he fell back behind Glock, and it seems it is getting worse. Spinning in the pits was really a low key point. A real pity, as it was a long time that we had a F1 driver again.

Hopefully at Spa he can show something, perhaps in bad weather, who knows.

but it does not look good for him, that's for sure.

I'd be wanting to give Wickens some 3rd driver running on Fridays before plunging him straight into a race seat, especially if it's going to be somewhere like Singapore.

And I agree with previous comments - D'Ambrosio just seems totally anonymous to me.
