A caution clock.

Alright, sure. Cool. You go, NASCAR.

What in the Blue Hell is a caution clock? I guess they needed something to replace the invisibris cautions. I think they need to start doing random drug tests in NASCAR's headquarters.

The caution clock will ruin and remove all strategy. Unique fuel and tire gambles will go away if you KNOW a caution is coming. With tire and fuel strategies going away, the chances of a fun and unexpected upset winner also go away.

So basically they can putz around all race knowing what window they have to actually race.... good job NASCAR... I'm giving a thumbs up to my monitor right now...... wait that's my middle finger. How rude of me.

What's the difference between that and fake debris yellows? They've pretty much already had this in place for years. They just never called it anything other than a "debris yellow".

Fake cautions you at least don't know when they'll fall. You know it's coming but not when.

Drug, alcohol and IQ tests really are needed for the rule makers.

It's amazing how Brian France's stupidity hasn't killed him yet.

That's a good point. We should have seen him win the Darwin award by now.

Alright, how it works:

- The Caution Clock is a 20 minute clock, which starts when the leader crosses the start-finish line to start or restart every Truck race but the one at Eldora.
- The Caution comes out when the clock strikes "0" and resets to 20 minutes on the restart.
- The clock resets at any yellow.
- The clock is turned off with 20 to go at every race but Mosport and Pocono, where the clock will be turned off with 10 to go.
- The clock will not be used at Eldora.
- Fans decide to do something else with their day.

This is dumb as fuck.

Hilarious Scenario #1/?: RAIN approaching track (a time when debris cautions have mysteriously disappeared the past few seasons). The countdown clock adds multiple cautions, thus time, to the race. A 4 truck battle rages on for the lead with 7 to go. It begins raining cats and dogs. Kyle Busch was determined to be leading at the time of the yellow. The race is never restarted.

This WILL happen. What other fun ways will this end up making nascar look stupid?

That seems like an interesting idea to set the starting lineups for the race itself. If they have 40 cars entered, would we see somebody (I'm looking at you Tri-Star) start and park during a heat race?
