Look at this rare, beautiful sight I've come across:

His site's loaded with rare Cup pics from Riverside and Ontario, plus some Winston West and Southwest Tour too. Give it a look if you get the chance.

I know that Sam wanted to make the cars look similar, so he went with the "Plus" on the hood, but that was the worst Dale scheme ever, plus his results were shit that era (minus the 1998 500) and when I see it it makes me think of bad memories.

Nothing good about that painting, thought Bass had a little more taste.

Seriously, it's just a number. Get over it already.

I really hate how stuff like this gets hyped all the time.

Seriously people need to get over themselves. Austin drives the 3 car now. Wanna cry about it? I'll send you a box of tissues. Move on.

Probably shouldn't watch "Return of the 3" a one hour special on FS1 tonight.

All of you "it's just a number" elitists need to calm down. Literally no one here said anything about the number. We're bothered by the fact that they are comparing Austin (a new kid) to Dale (a legend). Also, drawing Dale's car in the wall, the wall that killed him, is weird.

As far as I know, the only fans that are comparing Dillon to Earnhardt are the ones who are opposed to it returning at all. Anyone who's fine with the number coming back knows for a fact that there won't ever be anyone like Dale. Period.

That being said, it's just a number. More-over, it's Richard Childress' number to do what he wants\feels with it, not Dale's. Fireball Roberts, Tim Flock, Buddy Baker, Buck Baker, Junior Johnson, Cotton Owens, David Pearson... they all drove the 3, and I'd be arsed if they weren't "legendary" in their own rights.

Def more about who's driving the 3 than the 3 coming back on the track.

For fuck sakes, it is essentially Dale Earnhardt's old team. Of course there will be comparisons.

Of course people are *going* to compare Dillon to Earnhardt... but really, honestly, are we actually thinking that Austin Dillon is capable of reaching Dale Earnhardt-like potential? In this era of the sport, pretty much nobody is. Get it back out there and get it over with.

I don't care about Austin driving the 3, as I've said before it is just a number and more than one driver has contributed to it's history.

That picture is just weird though because it goes back against the "it's just a number" thing and it is comparing Austin to Dale which is pretty ridiculous imo.

(I wonder how many results searching "it's just a number" will return.) :p
