Does Albon bring a shit load of money to the team he drives for? Because over the years I haven't seen any other reason for a team to retain him.

Yeah, James Vowles basically said it's to 'maximise their opportunity' to score points. Turns out Albon scored 27 of their 28 points last season, which alone was 2 points more than AT managed with four drivers. Sucks for Sargeant, though.

Last year Albon brought in 27 points. Logan got 1 point, after 2 cars were disqualified.

This is a pretty big indictment on Williams for not having the capacity to make another car. Spares are tight at the start of the year yes, but to have no capacity what so ever to make another chasis is a huge indictment on the team.
