The teams' veto is only about the money. Everything else is bull jive. They are afraid they will get less money if there is one more entry trying to cut the same cake. But FIA didn't increase the number of races in the Middle East and USA for nothing (i.e. places that won't complain about entry fee being too high). A right ammount of money will be found to convince teams they won't lose out financially. Even Ferrari wouldn't veto the Andretti name if everyone else agrees?

Or it was the correct thing to do?

yep, which means that the teams vetoing a new entry for more money is the wrong side of the story

after all, is it a sport or a business?

We’ll it wouldn’t be the first time he’s been a weapon in Formula One would it?

I’ll get my coat.

Or you know, Liberty could just increase the size of each slice of the pie? Oh right silly me, an investment company returning more money to its customers instead of pocketing it for themselves.....

Has anyone bought Monaco GP tickets before?

This website seems the most realistic (rest seem to be selling redic VIP packages on yachts etc.) https://www.gootickets.com/en/7-formula ... d=2&pgs=91 but it doesn't seem to have any Friday tickets for some reason

But Viagogo does, but I'm not sure about using them as I believe you're just buying 2nd hand tickets? I'm not sure if anyone has used them before https://www.viagogo.com/nz/Sports-Ticke ... gKVePD_BwE

I used this website https://monaco-grandprix.com/ which I think is the official one, but that was 9 years ago. Looks like tickets aren't on sale yet there which probably explains no Friday tickets elsewhere.

If you're getting Grandstand tickets, worth going for the top rows as that'll often give you views behind the grandstand too given how small the track is

I have bought some but I don't remember the website. However, I can tell you the granstands we went on was A for T1, K overseeing Tabac, and the N seeing swimming pool. N was by far one of the worst grand stands I've ever been on, the view is minimal, the cars are fast, and you're out in the harbor sitting by the water which makes it very humid. A was interesting and I can see some action happen but we went there Friday so it was only GP2 back in the day. K was really nice, you seem them flying around, if it's early in the weekend, then you can walk down and have the cars a meter away from you accelerating and you can see all the way to the chicane.

Awesome, thanks for the replies!

I'll try and go for a different grandstand for each of the 3 days to get a different view

James Vowles is talking a lot of bollocks right now. Claiming new teams would mean losing teams :slaphead:

George Russell also said "we need Quality over quantity"

So obviously he's never googled the Andretti name in his life, nor watched any other motorsport bar F1 it seems... :slaphead:

Don't be too hard on the boy. You know full well he is a ventriloquist's dummy and that it is Wolff's hand up his fundament.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

tbf, not just Wolff. I think he got sent out by all the teams. Send the boy out to make an arse of himself...

Teams come and go, so what. F1's biggest problem is its elitism.

back when there was more than 10 teams generally the top 10 had more advantages than the last placed team

I also wonder if they're afraid to see Andretti getting their points and leaving one of the "elite club" on the sideline

funny that if they ask fans most will be up for a grid expansion

The limit for cars on the grid is 26, I don't see how the teams can block Andretti coming in. It's in the rules that 26 cars are allowed to compete in a grand prix.
