The thunderstorm and rain here on the Virginia side of town between 2 and 3 am were very scary. I stayed awake just to make sure a tornado wasn't coming through. There was no way they could race today. They'll be lucky to tomorrow.

I stayed at those campgrounds in 2016 when the night race got rained out. That was just a normal rainy day, not like this, and the campgrounds still flooded. Hopefully not too many people suffer serious property damage.

Track looks good, hopefully it holds some moisture in it for a little while, but I suspect they sealed it to keep it from getting too tacky. Should be an interesting race, looking forward to seeing how they do with a track with some bite. Was also glad to hear they have had some seasoned track prep people doing the track for the entire thing, it definitely shows.
