I think this will end up needing a thread of its own once the Kubica Hype Train pulls in :D

Morning update - McLaren are wishing that the whole season can be held on this circuit, and I'm interested to see how consistently fast Leclerc is. I'm surprised he isn't linked to any teams for 2018.

Meanwhile, some hot shot from Poland passed his cockpit extraction test yesterday - IIRC he considered this his biggest impediment other than the actual driving.

I'm pretty sure he's already strongly linked to Sauber since the new deal has been announced.

Judging from the media hype, I shouldnt. They're almost expecting him to track record the thing straight off.

Renault probably sends him out underpowered because if he easily beats Palmer they'll never hear the end of it until they replace him.

Kubica said that times won't matter. He is there to test for the team.

Well, check out Renaults Instagram. Kubica ripped down the garage ceiling when he exited the box for the first time :D

There were so many people from the media around that he didn't even have enough space to go straight :D

Would've been fun if it had been Palmer's sign...

I think it's now safe to say that Kubica did just fine in the test.

In all the hype around Kubica, noone has actually noticed Lando Norris going quicker than both Alonso and Vandoorne's Q3 laps...
