Always a nice way to start the last sunday of May. To set the racing bar so low, that later you're completely amazed by the Indianapolis 500.

Never actually got to watch last year's race. By the time it was run, I was in 16th St. in the middle of the biggest fucking traffic jam I've seen in my life, on my way to IMS. And afterwards I was spoiled with the results, so I never bothered.

Monaco suckks no passing blahblahblaglh

It's one of the coolest races if the year, y'all need to get over it and enjoy the show for what it is : the challenge, the unpredictability, the shennigans.

Comparing the racing there to a wide open 2.5 mile oval is foolish

Needs Maldonado or Caterhams to be enjoyable
Fp2 probably the most interesting session (because I will miss it).

let's hope the huge gaps could give more backmarkers and so

up to 2013 the tunnel was the best place in the whole season to watch race, cars blazing closer to the wall with high pitched engine sound

It's and eye candy road with eye candy cars, and I don't mind watching 5 cars following each other for several laps with no overtaking, it's tense, and a crash and cause them all to leave the race at any moment.

The race is 3x more special since this is the only real street course for the last 30 years.

Ahh, a week off from debating the state of F1 2017, since it's Monaco and there's never any passing here even if they were running in Karts :p

There will be crashes, there will be surprises, and there'll be a lot of frustrating moment with faster cars stuck behind slower cars and not being able to get by (probably causing a crash or two, to boot)
That's Monaco

Looking at a dry weekend though. :(

Support races should be fun though.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Jenson will do. He's always been good here. :)

Qualifying will be something to watch though, as we all know it's crucial at this track. I'm sure it'll be Vettel vs Hamilton...

last year was a huge dissappointment, with the ultra soft tyres that lasted like for eternity...

I always get excited about Monaco, even knowing that there won't be much overtaking. With the cars being much faster, I'd expect some contact in practice and qualifying.

My bets are on Palmer to find the wall.

Always fun to watch the practice sessions and qlf and see how the laptimes gradually go down.

I'm sure Vandoorne and Stroll will have some sex with the wall as well.

As well as a new kerb running parallel to the track, the reshaped kerb on the inside of the left-hander has raised eyebrows among drivers, who fear it could cause trouble.

There used to be wall at the swimming pool section, until they inserted run-off area for these babies. :slaphead:
I wonder too if it was the drivers all along - not FIA - that wanted all the gravels traps to be removed from all the circuits.

Palmer will find the wall in the pits

Stroll crashes on sighting lap to grid

Vandoorne doesn't find wall, runs ok

the swimming pool is excelent for people to lose control and shouldn't forgive mistakes like that one from Verstappen

I predict, it will cause trouble for some of the support series, not F1 itself, and it will be removed by saturday...

Grosjean has a nice history too, he found the walls in all sessions, and in the race a car to crash
