Enjoyable race (apart from Almirola getting injured).

i have to say, i enjoyed the overall quality of the racing tonight - much more than boring races with manufactured drama (boredom cautions) at the finish

Richard Petty Motorsports has just released a statement on Aric Almrola's condition.

Sounds encouraging, so far.

If Truex didn't win, someone else that isn't Blaney would have won. The 21 was junk in the last 50 laps.

Hadn't seen any camera angles from here... Didn't realize how much air Danica got when she hit the wall.

She's still an ass for her interview last night.

She aint an ass for that, shes just another fierce competitor, like most winning drivers also are, not that she is one.

You're implying that Danica is a winning driver...

I understand she was running great and unintentionally got collected by Logano's brake failure; but holy shit sweetheart, could you come across as any more of an unlikeable, rotten, tallentless, bitch? I find it impossible to believe that she had no knowledge of Almirola's condition and subsequent extraction from the car as she was in the care center. Her interviews are always a challenge to watch, but last night was one for the ages with her genuine unlikeableness.

Image won't load directly, so I went to the Fark thread and found it and reposted it.

Logano looked concerned. I've seen numerous wrecks over the years where they interview a driver afterwards and they say "I hope so and so is ok". Danica was just pissy that her day ended early.

You can repair/replace a damaged race car, it'll just take a hit on the budget. I can't say the same statement about a human life.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Even harder to believe considering her interview was a bit of time after Logano's, and Logano looked like he was about to cry. It was obvious he felt terrible about Aric getting hurt.

I feel terrible for Joey, and I hope he doesn't feel like he's to blame at all in this. What happened was a mechanical failure, plain and simple, wrong place at the wrong time, and I don't think there's anything he could have done differently in that situation. There's only so much a driver can do when his car breaks at an ungodly speed like the speeds they were carrying last night.
