teams are complaining the setting the halo already for next season will delay development

FIA wasn't that much sensible. one good this is that cars could get leveled by their performance flaws, unless someone (not Mercedes please) figures the best way and starts winning everything

One step forward with the rear of the cars, 10 steps back with the front

There's still time fia..spend more time working on the screen if you have to. Anything is better than this

Martin Brundle was saying yesterday that Ross Brawn showed him a render of the current direction they want to go with the 2021 cars & Brundle said that it looked quite futuristic & that while it still featured the Halo it was more swept back & looked quite a bit better than what we have seen so far.

I look forward to that being compromised and down voted into something pretty similar to what we have today, just 30% more stupid looking

I don't have much love for the new logos, but the fact that it's been over 30 years and people still 'discover' the 'hidden' 1 make it pretty clear that it never really worked anyway.

F1 commercial chief Sean Bratches on the new logo wrote:
It served F1 extremely well over the past 23 years, but in terms of where we are taking the business and our vision for the business, it is the negative space in the '1' doesn't come through candidly in digital.

If I were to have a poll of the number of people I've met and discussed the mark since I have got here, many of them have gone years and years without understanding the invisible space between the left and the right is actually a '1'.

Not gonna lie, I feel really vindicated here. Two years at college studying Media Production wasn't completely wasted on boozing and truancy

F1’s marketing head Ellie Norman said the design of the logo was based on two cars going around a circuit and battling for the finish line.

“It takes inspiration from the low profile shape of the car, two cars crossing a finish line,”

I mean, if that's true then one of them has taken a short cut and even F1's new Logo needs a penalty

looks like when nike launches 3rd kits of their teams and then they come with a lame explanation, maybe what Liberty tried to say is "you cannot explain F1"

This article includes some of the other concepts they looked at as well as a possible hint at the new TV graphics style we will see next year:
