Is this the first time they're using again that fast version of first chicane?

Polesitter stalled

One guy went wide then tried pushing the driver gaining from it onto the grass.

Surprising no SC so far

In regards to the Floersch incident, as Peter Dumbreck has pointed out, her speed is irrelevant. Who sends a course car across a live track. They're throwing her under the bus to save themselves.

Facebook comments on Flörsche's near miss are making it astonishingly clear how many racing 'fans' don't understand the purpose of the red flag.

I wouldn't say her speed is irrelevant. She has a pretty major problem if she thinks it is okay to go through a corner at 150kmh instead of 170 under a red flag. Obviously in this case the situation and obstacle arose because of the actions of race control but what if the car that had caused the red flag was broadside across the track instead? What makes this different to Pastor vs. the marshals at Monaco? The fact she didn't hit anything?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Thing is, video shows red lights off the right but no flags. Someone else came through rather quickly after her as well.

No one's actually condoning her speed, it's that the SUV crossed a live track. It's not a stationary vehicle, it just suddenly appears from the right she could have slowed up by then and had to avoid it.There seems to be a huge cluster fuck of stupidity from the organisers and all we've had is her being fined for uploading the video.

They didn't send a course car across a live track. The session had already been red flagged, and she has indicated from her tweets that she knew it was a red. In any series, you slow the fuck down and expect course vehicles or stranded cars in the middle of the track.

You can see from the video she posted that she was full throttle out of the corner before encountering the course car.

They actually found her not guilty of doing anything wrong under red flag...

Plus you see another car flying past her when she's gone off, so she obviously wasn't the only one still at speed

So two drivers ignore the red flags, one nearly hits a course car, and the answer is to fine one for media rights issues and let them both off for not slowing down enough.

That sends a reassuring message to track workers...

It's a live track until there are no cars on it, regardless of whether there are red, yellow or white flags out, it's still live until all the cars are back into the pits.

Anyway didn't she get fined for uploading the video without permission? Sounds to me as if F4 officials were more pissed off she uploaded a video that made them look silly than they were of driver/marshals safety. After all, surely if they felt she had done something wrong on track, they would have fined her for that instead.

Not watched the video in detail but how long was it between the red flags coming out and the course car crossing the track?
