just to be exact :)

Thanks for the great feedback both here and I guess some of you also left very nice comments on YT. Just had a look at the statistics and found that this platform is still active and also my account is still valid. Nice.

So I just thought to swing by and say thanks for the attention and interest.

Best regards and cya soon

You should transport yourself back in time and be at Pocono in 2010 for ESPN and get the Sadler crash on camera :flag:

If I could transport back myself in time my first halt would probably be Norisring 1981 and record Ludwig's flame spitting Capri....the car which it all started for me and infected me with the racing virus.
Then of course '82 - '89 all the Group C action at my hometown and of course favourite racetrack...
'92 Wendlingers flatout "showlaps" with the C11....which made me buy my first camcorder...
Not to mention when all hell broke loose when in '90 H.J. Stuck and Walter Röhrl took out their '88 and '89 working places (Audi 200 TransAm and Audi 90 GTO) for some awesome laps round the Norisring.

And then if there is energy left in the time-machine I would head for Belgium in '85 trying to meet Stefan Bellof and whisper him "..if you have Jakub in front of you in Eau Rouge.....DON'T TRY IT!!!! Get him on the straights afterwards." If I could not reach him, I would try to get Peter Falk "...try to keep it separated. Belgians vs. Berlgians and Germans vs. Germans...PLEASE!!!"

Thank you very much for your appreciation.
I can't promise you guys anything unfortunately.
People tend to get older, unavoidably change their interests and their personal time management. I can't promise you to take part in discussions here about F1, DTM and so on, because honestly I hardly watch the races anymore as it mostly bores me to death. "Was it really all better in the past?" You bet! :beard:
All over the top sophisticated technics, which I don't give a fuck about (except WEC) and absolute stupid rules almost killed my interest in racing overall.

The only stuff which keeps my adrenaline up even only by watching it is Hillclimbing, Drag Racing and Historic Racing...

But if you in general don't mind, I would of course come back here and inform you about new stuff I put online.

To end this one here...let's do some time travel back to 2002 and ice-caking with a personal story:
Back then my new girl-friend accompanied me to her 1st Norisring race, her first big racing event ever. Passing the gates she informed me "...I really hope see some crashes....you know...BIG ONES!" "....uhm....I don't think so. Yeah we like the smaller collisions at the hairpin here...some bargeing, crushin' and squeaking material...but big ones....no thanks"

Few hours later after eye-witnessing the footage below she was looking at me, pale white face "..still wanting to see "big one's"??" Answer was a frantically shaking head of hers. BTW...that same woman was even more pale at the recent Norising event when the wrecks of Rocky and Paffett came to a halt right in front of us...she now already has 16 in a row at the Norisring.

Cheers
René

Lucky not to have had a big crash the way some of them rejoined the track after not bothering to take T1 properly.

That was some block by Rocky, Farfus was close to have a big crash.

I only saw parts of the race, but for the first time in years I was entertained watching DTM. What did they change? Normally this Moscow track isn't very good for racing but now they were passing left right and centre

I think it's a combination of softer tyres, the DRS rules and the leader trying to back the field up to benefit his team mate helped

But yeah, DTM seems to be better this year, I thought it was unique to the norisring because....norisring, but it seems not.

they should return to the origins, based on production cars, maybe using the TCR or BTCC specs

see a Mercedes A class against Audi RS3 and BMW 1 series while other makes join competition making it a cheap and filled with good cars against the german opposition
