15-place penalties for both Alonso and Vandoorne this weekend.

We have the last row already set, then.

I'm glad that as soon as the Grand Prix has correctly been renamed "Ajerbaijan GP" instead of "European GP", suddenly all the negativity the country had received last year has disappeared. :) It doesn't take a lot to light the internet rage up, or put it down.

I don't think that it has much to do with it.

I look at this GP thinking, I know it will be shit, let's have it and move on to the next.

Hey Liberty

Ground effect please.

More power, less grip please

I dunno, something about The Nurburgring, if WTCC can have a 3 lap race there, F1 can have a 10 lapper or something.

Oh, and please drop that VSC shit.

Cheers!

VSC is one of the worst things introduced in the history of motorsport. It's a half-assed intermediary and honestly a really weak gimmick. Hopefully it's dropped next year.

I seriously don't mind the VSC, it's a great option for situations in between yellow and the real SC and at least drivers don't lose their hard-earned lead.

Sure, sometimes the real SC brings back the excitement in a race but that shouldn't be the reason to use it. (Are you reading this, FIA?)

Odd schedule for the weekend. Since Azerbaijan has a time zone of GMT+4, you'd guess all sessions will start 2 hours earlier compared to Central European rounds. But no, actually they start 1 hour later. Race will end barely 1 hour before sunset (20:14), so let's hope there won't be long red flag periods (due to barrier damage etc).

Usually FP1 would start in 42 minutes.

That is actually the correct way of doing it if the objective is to keep roughly the same times for European viewers. They start later (local time), if they started earlier it would put the sessions early morning in Europe ;)

Can we also have the completely unbelievably physics of Driven when there is a crash?

Though....... I think we might be in the Matrix as Alonso's smash in Melbourne last year showed that there might be a glitch in the system and that smash slipped through.

Finally someone crashes in the narrow section! Old-school too, with the rear wheel completely flying off.

A detached wheel? That's new.

Confirmed - Liberty Media reads TBK.

Hey dude with the funny moustache, can we replace the tarmac run offs with pits of fire, add James Bond style oil and spike deployers from the cars and quadruple the quantity of grid girls (and half the amount of clothing they wear)

Regards,
Scott
