I'm very happy for Kimi. Hopefully nothing ruins his race tomorrow.

Hadn't watched qualy but came onto the board and saw Evanstar was the last one to post on this thread so instantly knew Kimi must've done well

I still remember the 2012 GP when, at some point, Kimi was so slow that even HRT was catching up on the train behind him. Not gonna happen the same this time now that Ferrari is clearly the best car but it would be very funny if he turned out to hold up even the likes of Sainz

LOL at optimism for tomorrow's race

I really want Kimi to win, but there'll be a suspiciously slow pit stop for the Finn to ensure he behind Vettel by the end of the pit stop sequence
That is if he makes it to turn 1 in the lead.

If Vettel makes it to turn 1 ahead, expect some Finn on Finn contact as Bottas tries to take advantage of a gap that isn't there.

And Lewis? His car seems not to be able to bring the tyres up to temp so I don't see him being able to storm through the field, even if it WASN'T Monaco
I highly doubt he'll keep his front wing and suspension pieces on the car in lap 1, but even if he does, I forsee a lower end of the top ten finish at best.
Maybe a top 5 if they can pull some shenanigans with a VSC/SC

Stroll will crash but in a minor way that doesn't disrupt the race
Palmer will probably troll around at the back because at least he's raced F1 here before.

Red Bull will try an alternate strategy to maybe enforce the leaders into pit stops they don't want to make and shake things up
It won't work.

And that's all she wrote, enjoy a dull appetiser before the main race of the day, people

Oh yeah, and

Sebastien Vettel World Champion 2017
(But by now we have to concede he clearly has the best car ;) )

Jenson Button:
"These new big rear tyres are scary, I'm, scared to overtake....... If anyone overtakes this weekend I'll give you (Natalie Pinkham) £10"

"I want to score points but somebody's not letting me"

That last bit said in part because they have taken bits of Jenson's car (New diffuser been one) & put them on Vandoorne's.

Rosberg saying that Hamilton's problems in qualifying are setup related & that he doesn't believe they are going to be able to change it for the race.

Fun little stat.
2008 French Gp Kimi Raikkonen was on pole & Lewis Hamilton started 13th on the grid.
2017 Monaco Gp Kimi Raikkonen's 1st pole since then & Lewis Hamilton is 13th on the grid.

Actually, the main race of the day/weekend is about to end in less than a couple of hours(24HNurb) :D

If you meant Indianapolis 500, that is not a good event because it has low quality drivers. At least that's what Lewis allegelly implied

And 13 is the unlucky number! So once in a decade Kimi's inner bad luck transfers into Hamilton.
Hopefully Kimi's race will be more fortunate than 2008 French GP. Otherwise Massa wins. :D

Kimi didn't know it was a one minute silence, and kept his cap on his head.

I would not call literally five seconds of green flag time before crashing on a straight as 'racing F1', but if you do that's fine.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Hamilton should have started on supers and hoped for a crash on the first lap and SC to pit
