If I had to pick one chassis manufacturer to resurrect it would still be Reynard.

It amazes me how even successful constructors like Reynard, Lola etc have all bit the dust now.

There is only a sparse amount of money to be made in primarily designing and manufacturing race cars in my opinion. Reynard and Lola weren't super diversified companies it seems and their paydirt was selling cash flush racing teams new cars every year.

Through up a pic in the "On this day in motorsport" thread. Wasn't sure anyone was going to put anything up.

Greg was my favorite. Have never really found anyone else I rooted for like I did for him.

His win at Detroit in 1997 is probably my best memory of him. It was such a jubilant and utterly surprising win. I used to have it on VHS. :D

Watching late 90's IRL is quite an experience. Even today, I still find it strange to hear a NASCAR-style engine from an open wheel racer.

Denver was an underrated street track, one of the best I've seen in all likelihood, however with 2002 rules of traction control and pit windows, this isn't the best advert for it.

That Denver street circuit is one of the best CART/IndyCar ever raced on to be honest. I don't remember the 2002 race but 2003-2006 were all really good ones IIRC...especially 2006.

2006 was a fun year for Champcar, very underrated imo.

The racing in 2006 was pretty good and it was the last year of the old Lola, a much better car than the Panoz.

The last ever Champ Car race on an oval:
