Something i've seen posted by an ex-FOM person is that broadcasters have exclusivity deals written into there contracts which apparently prevents FOM from been able to distribute content in those country's & that even if FOM was to start offering streaming or full races on something like youtube they would be geo blocked in many country's due to those contracts.

However i'm sure i was reading something early last year discussing FOM having a clause in these contracts allowing them to take back online distribution which would open up the possibilities for live streams & posting full races online.

If FOM were to launch an online subscription service & it was reasonably priced i'd certainly pay for it & get rid of my Sky subscription.

I'd pay for absolutely nothing if F1 remains the shitshow it is.

Is Kubica thinking of returning to high level motorsport? Of course it depends on his arm rotation ability...

That would be utterly silly. 6 seasons without racing. 31 years old already. If his arm would have been good, it wouldn't have taken 6 years for that. If Renault (who else) would take hime, they are seriously derranged.

He came 3rd in Renault Trophy race at weekend. Perhaps he'll end up testing F1 tyres first? http://www.thisisf1.com/2016/09/27/kubi ... n-in-2017/

Maybe it's Le Mans for Kubica instead? http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns34886.html

The US GP organisation made a list of songs that the F1 drivers like to listen when they drive. Hopefully that means when they drive road cars rather than during the race.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.ph ... -removable

Yeah, let's compromise it's structure so it's safe in 1 situation.

A removable halo will be able to come off in a crash and then it wont work as it's designed to do so.
Only solution is to remove it permanently.

Does Halo introduce significantly more drag? Were any top speed comparisons made while using it? Thinking about McLaren at Monza a few weeks back, between the first and second practice in somewhat similar conditions and car setting

WTF1 have posted a few vids of Fernando's amazing starts from this season, accompanied by this image, from which LOLs were LOLled:

FULL DISCLOSURE:

- I am not a Hamilton fan, but duly acknowledge that he is absolutely one of the best drivers of the post-Schumacher era
- Sorry Lewis, but Fernando is more of a Senna than you are

I was going to challenge you on how you came to this, but you are correct.

To be a Senna, you need an equal rival, and Alonso had Schumacher.

To be fair I was going for the traditional 'transcends shitty car' measure. Senna and first-career Schumacher did this regularly. Alonso did it several times in a Minardi, almost won the championship in 2012 with a shitbox Ferrari, and still does it 15 years into his career in a sub-par McLaren.

Lewis may not have had a truly equal title rival (if you exclude Alonso in '07, which is a fair call), but when given crappy McLarens he didn't quite assert his dominance over Jenson Button. In 2012 his car was probably much handier than the Ferrari, but history shows the outcome. He did take several wins, but I don't think the Ferrari was anywhere near the McLaren in reality.

If you put these two and Vettel in this year's Mercedes, the championship would probably be quite hard to call. If you put all three in this year's McLaren, I think Alonso would show them up.

Unrelated: Racecars Direct have a 'GENUINE replica' F310B for sale!

If this is a genuine replica, you have to wonder what the knock-off ones look like :slaphead:

If you squint it looks a lot like a Formula Palmer Audi.
Bet that's one of Berrige's mockups if he isn't inside or pushing up grass, that's his kind of MO.

I don't think it was ever a real car tbh; the back of the engine cover seems too low to have a gearbox near it and the diffuser is just lols.

You mean Bob Berridge? And yes, it looks very much like an FPA.
