The precedent has now been set, that it's pretty much ok to use your car as a weapon and take out whoever you like. I'm waiting for somebody to start driving the wrong way around the track.

As long as the person you wreck is on the same lap as you or I guess behind a lap or more, can call it the Kenseth clause.

I don't know, that might go against a precedent set in 1986...

You joke, but that's what this shit will eventually come to if NASCAR doesn't have a little sense and give people real penalties for intentional crashing. Whatever the fans may think about the series stepping in, they'll settle it more safely than the fucking drivers.

It's not like we haven't seen alarming warnings plenty of times in recent years.

IMO, the Edwards/Keselowski incident in Atlanta should have been a landmark situation in which NASCAR threw down massive penalties for that sort of behavior. By letting that one slide with a nominal penalty, they missed a huge opportunity to keep a lid on this. Now, to get suspended you have to either get intentionally wreck someone for the dozenth time (Kyle Busch at Texas), or be turning laps off the pace and wreck someone on the lead lap (Kenseth at Martinsville).

lol I was being srs. nascar hasnt given a warning or even mentioned that they're at least reviewing the incident. any last shred of "racing" that was left in this circus is gone, so he might as well make a show of it.

the kind of shit that stewart or nemechek did normally gets you suspended/heavily penalized in just about every other motorsport
