I remember Chevy saying they would "never" run the Camaro in NASCAR because they didn't want to alter the iconic body lines.

They need to just ditch this Xfinity car all together. Atleast change the aero package on it.

I love the Canadian series. It's like the K&N but with mature experienced that are supposed to know what they're doing.

This is fantastic.

These cars are slow as shit but man do they put on great racing. Probably because it's literally only short tracks and road courses.

the canadian series is awesome but i haven't followed it recently. i heard it was on the decline, in terms of car counts and stuff. hopefully it doesn't meet the same fate as the mexico series

yeah, car counts have been on the decline

mainly on the financial end, including some big names (Steckly is only a car owner due to Canadian Tire pulling out, Fitzpatrick moved to Outlaw Late Models etc.)

http://nascar.nbcsports.com/2016/07/12/ ... lightning/

Kinda-sorta-not-really-racing-related-but-I've-been-keeping-an-eye-on-it news... this is the right decision. As fans, we all made the choice to either go out into the middle of a torrential shitstorm (one of the craziest I have ever witnessed), or seek whatever shelter we could find. We were given enough warning time that my sister hobbled (on a bad ankle) to her car in the parking lot before it started to rain. My mom and I made the decision to stay behind and watch the race, and then stay under the stands whenever things got hairy. Unfortunately for Brian Zimmerman, he made the decision to go out in ankle-deep puddles while it was still raining and with lightning going off like crazy.

*Of course* the family sued. Heaven forbid anyone take responsibility for their own actions.

We were safe and sound, as far as we were concerned.
