Would be nice to get that sort of detailed reasoning for more stewards decisions going forward.

This was Abu Dhabi 2010 again. Webber was the pawn to drag Alonso out of the fight to ensure Vettel won. In this case, swap Webber with Ricciardo, Alonso for Vettel and Vettel for Max.
Don't forget that back in 2010 it was Webber who asked to pit because he felt his rear tyres were graining & He'd clipped the barrier round the hotel as a result of losing rear grip.

Red Bull were also going to pit Vettel the next lap but they found that after doing an extra lap the graining cleaned up & the performance returned.

The sooner Ricciardo gets out of Red Bull the happier I'll be. They may know how to bring in talent but they treat their drivers like shit.

Just saw an interview with Ricciardo who said he doesn't understand why he was pulled onto a 3 stop strategy while he was comfortably leading the race & controlling the pace. Said a 3 stop strategy was never the plan, never discussed & that it was changed mid-race without explanation & that he now wants answers from the team.

Isn't it plausible that both red bull and Ferrari threw out their planned strategies and came up with new ones after Lewis and nico crashed out? I don't think it was 100% sure for the team that a 2-stopper would be fast enough in the end.
Both strategies would have been a gamble.

How can you dislike a 18 yr old boy for something his father did? Thats a glitsch in your personality my friend. I will refrain myself from further comparison but let's say I don't dislike my middle-ages German neighbors.

This year's Vettel only confirms what I thought of him at Red Bull.

A whiny lucky little c**t.

He clearly can't handle pressure.

"The sins of the father will be visited upon his sons"

Was that William Shakespeare or Jesus Christ? I always get the two confused.

If you don't remember who made a quote, put Winston Churchill.

Why penalise for that? It's quite an ambitious move but no one got hurt. The FIA did the right thing with Hamilton-Rosberg and here they fuck up again.

Besides, the FIA shouldn't interfere with clashes between teammates to begin with.

That was a fair move, that was just racing and Palmer actually gained time while Mags lost it.

No. This is like saying police shouldn't interfere if your brother is beating you up.

Also, seemed like an opportunistic but fair move to me ... and if anything Palmer should be penalised for sauntering off down the escape route and gaining masses of time ... and being Palmer.

In certain cases the police doesn't take further action if the family/parents handle it themselves.

Of course the gravity of the incident matters but in cases like Hamilton/Rosberg and even more with Magnussen/Palmer the FIA shouldn't interfere, IMO.

going banzai for the pass is good for the race and therefore should not be penalized

unless it was made on purpose to retire someone

So I got to see Hamilton and Rosberg's crash live, I was at that turn. What a great memory this will be. A friend of mine got to film it, I have asked him to share the video so I can show it to you guys. All the crowd just erupted and cheered. Not for the crash itself, but because we knew this race went from ??? to !!! and that we would have not-a-Merc winning for once.

I think the crash is a 50/50, although to be honest I also think Hamilton had it coming at him after his move at the US GP last year.

10/10 weekend overall, that was lots of fun.

PS: cars are louder than last year, but still below the GP2. And comparing 2016 vs 2014, back then you could actually hear the turbo whistle, tyres screeching, etc. Now you just hear a loud exhaust noise. They just need to stop messing with the damn engines.

I think of it differently but that's ok, the FIA is on your side anyway.

And yes you're right, I meant the possible charges being pressed.
