I actually don't even care (tho, a single center-locking lugnut would be the be-all, end-all solution to this problem)...it's the fact that NASCAR fined a driver for speaking his mind.

Especially since there wasn't anything bad about what Stewart said, he's just concerned.

A wheel hasn't come off a car in 8 or 9 years. We are good to go for life!

Yeah ask Indycar how that worked out for them when they took that attitude about a wing never hitting another driver on the head...

Sometimes the simplest, backward last century solution, really is the best solution.

Oh I think its ridiculous that Tony was fined, I just never thought lug nuts would dominate the news. Then again, this is NASCAR and NASCAR is drama.

It's like they're taking one step forward (low downforce package provided much better racing than last season by a long shot), two steps back (France endorses Trump, and now this).

NASCAR is like a 16 year old high school girl... There's always some stupid drama and you just so want to bitch slap her.

So NASCAR has changed its position on lugnuts. Just has Smoke said they should have but his fine still stands.

Stewart & the Drivers Council have donated $35,000 (that was originally given to Stewart over the fine fiasco) to charity (Autism Delaware).

Great racing, and then a blue balls finish. Even in Australia it's the same.

I know that the cars are incredibly different, but that goes to show how good the racing is when there's no aero on the cars and they're not glued to the track.

There's been some ugliness on social media involving the media. Here's two recent Twitter exchanges.

Mike Waltrip had some unkind words to say about Pete Pistone of SiriusXM.

Jim Noble of NBC Sports got into a twitter fight with Brett Griffin, Clint Bowyer's spotter. The highlighted tweet is this cheap shot from Noble to Griffin (and by proxy, to the 15 team).

As chidish as it is, some media members are starting to get some serious Twitter balls. The shit they put out there can be completely unnecessary at times. One of my favorite shows to listen to is The Morning Drive with Pistone and Bagman but sometimes they come across like they are absolute know it alls. A couple weeks ago a caller called in commenting on how they thought Tony could be back by the all star race like Kyle. Bagley ripped the caller apart saying it was a different injury, the fans don't get it, etc.... Later that day Tony announced he was cleared to race. Dave Moody is even worse.
