Anyway, let's try to compare this year car with last year at Vegas


This is a headline picture of the 2 Penske cars from this year:

Check out the rear side of Logano car, how the right is very different from the left. And the #2, from that angle, we can see a huge flat part on the side right below the window, at an angle that helps the car turn when it yaws and also generates downforced as it starts low and ends high (not apparently from this angle). The nose also seems to be turned a little into a front spoiler.

1 -The road car make radiator grill is way smaller

2 - Just above the fake headligths is now flat while last year was oval.

Now all the upper front side of the car is just one big spoiler to make downforce. Before you already had downforce from the ground of the car with the huge splitter and bigger rear wing. So the part above the fake headlights were rounder to push the air around and give more straight speed (maybe a little to much overboard, since they just were fiddling with the horsepower reduction).

Soul Reaver, I appreciate the analysis, but two things:
1.) If you're going to do this again, can you please do it in one post rather than a bunch of posts?
2.) For these posts with a bunch of pics, can you put them in spoiler tags? Some of us access TBK on our mobile devices which may or may not have finite data plans. Thanks a bunch.

Anyway, I may make my own tread so people will know when they're diving into it.

I think the aero stuff is interesting, but don't know exactly what I'm looking at in comparison pictures usually. Some arrows to point out differences would be awesome!
