What was the most pathetic thing was Mikey saying Chase is the highest anticipated driver to graduate to the Cup series ever, even more than Dale Jr. Yeah fuckin right!! Chase Elliott more anticipated than Jesus Earnhardt... Mikey needs to be taken out back and shot, he is the worst "analyst" EVER.

Seriously though, are you all reacting to the pole winner or the inevitable "too good to be true" media coverage? I don't see what's wrong or surprising about Chase Elliott winning pole, his odds must have been pretty low considering it's a Hendrick car, last year's pole winning car and driver experience doesn't really matter at plate track qualifying.

It's because of NBCSN taping the K&N race, that will air on Thursday at 10:30PM ET by the way. SPEED51 did highlights I believe last year so you might see something before that

so apparently they are running without timing and scoring for the K&N race? or they aren't showing it to the public anyways (Race Monitor isn't up because NASCAR doesn't use it too). They are at halfway.

also of note, the DIRTcar Nationals will be getting some TV time, the first night of the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds, as well as the UMP Modifieds & DIRTcar Late Models will be shown on MavTV as apart of National Speed Sport News coverage.

NASCAR touring series always bring their own timing and scoring equipment and do not use the track's equipment. I'm not very familiar with Race Monitor but it likely won't show up in the same place as the weekly (non-touring) races from New Smyrna, if they make it public at all.

At Langley Speedway it took 3 years of complaining for the announcer to finally get the live timing and scoring for a K&N race while he was calling it, not because it wasn't easy but because the officials just don't care about anything other than running the race.

the 24 team won the pole for 3 of the 4 plate races last year, too. i don't think it was rigged. i think the Danica and Dillon poles definitely were, though.

anyway, the 14 and the 4 failed tech. i'd assume the 24 would have, too, if it didn't win the pole. NASCAR can't have that. i saw various cars yesterday during practice with the roof flap thing, i completely forget who they were now, but i remember thinking it looked weird.
