PDVSA still has plenty left in the pocket and it seems like they've shipped all the bets on Maldonado anyway. Viso doesn't have any of their decals anymore in the Super Trucks and of course Cecotto Jr announced his retirement after they turned him down.

Perez to Lotus/Renault?

So two drivers who bring some good cash. Either Lotus lives to survive another day (literally) or Renault doesn't have to put too much of their own money into it.

Whatever happens, 2016 will be a 'shell' year for Enstone...

Perez is a good option. Good driver with as a big plus some good funding.

I wonder who will take the Force India seat, Wherlein?

FIF1 already passed Werhlein up which is why Mercedes want to tie up with Manor.

If money is the decider, then expect the GP2 driver with the biggest chequebook to get the drive.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Perez moving to Renault (not Lotus) has been talked of for a number of weeks, I think Dieter Rencken may have even mentioned it previously. If Perez is confirmed at Renault then I assume it all but guarantees Grosjean will be with Haas. Maybe Kevin Magnussen can plug himself into the spare Force India.

I think Magnussen will be in the McLaren, with Vandoorne doing a year of 3rd driver (aka "doing nothing") in 2016.

And then replacing Alonso who's gotten fed up and retired?

Yep, judging his attitude and body language as someone said here, I would rather like to see him in a TV role than not wanting to race anymore.

If this isn't the case, then of course I prefer seeing him racing.

I love how F1 is ruining a lot of drivers' state of mind.

What a great series.

I would love to see Button breaking Barrichello start record

so he could crush his dreams, again

Please don't give Rubens any further ideas to come out of retirement.

during 2013, while he was doing grid walk he brought a helmet to every track in case of a driver could not race he was there to race. that obviously didn't please the tv station he worked and they finished his contract earlier

Glad when Button is gone. This year has been a waste of a learning year for Magnussen. A driver doesn't develop an engine, he can maybe help fine tune it. Mclaren will at least screw just one other talent. Either Magnussen or Vandoorne.

The only really.sad thing about the whole Button career is the lack of Bruno Juinqueira in F1. Imagine him with JPM at Williams back in the day.

Button has become a whiny driver with a lucky title on his name. Especiaaly the year with Perez showed Buttons real colors.

Great lineup for Force India.

Can't Lotus/Renault promote a youngster in F1? Esteban Ocon is part of the Lotus driver development program, and has clear potential. And of course, he is French.

Lotus/Renault are just going to reserve 2 cars per weekend for Maldonado just in case.
