Was a great race till that last caution. Leave it up to a non retro car to win, suck ass finish but that has been the theme for this year, Just look forward to hopefully this package next year.

These officials would have thrown a yellow when Craven and Busch were brawling for the win in 2003.

Chances are, they'd probably throw the caution when Gordon smacked the wall with 11-15 laps to go back then.

Worst possible winner but then I hate the horse with a passion. It's worse that it wasn't a car with a retro scheme.

I forget who was that guy rgordon referred to back then (Sam Hornish, Jr., I believe?), but I did remember what he put down after that: To comeback, you must first come.

It was Allmendinger. You could write a book with as many rgordonisms as there are

(It's Jamie McMurray, in case no one figured it out)

I enjoyed the race. Just a bit of a let down at the end with the late caution. The racing on old tyres was way more fun and there was no reason to throw a caution. :slaphead:

Nice to see Carl Edwards winning again, shame it was like this. (Yeah, I'm his fan, fuck you)

But, more importantly, the tyre wear is back at the lady in black! Haha!!! That's awesome!!!!

This race proved how bad all of Roush's talent picks since Carl are. Ragan, to this day, I have not understood why he was chosen to take over the #6 car from Mark in the fall of 2006. He had not even scored any top-10s in the lower series till then and has to this day, been mediocre. Bayne, again, perenially mediocre since day one except for fluking into the Fluketona 500 win in 2011. And finally Stenhouse, who I'll admit I thought was the real deal myself but he too has been mediocre, at best.

What a race I picked to watch live. I never watch live and always go for the torrent or Youtube download route as watching NASCAR live has to be the most testing television experience on the planet with the ads and cautions. A caution stops the bloody race and bores us for a long, long time so they should ONLY be thrown if there's a flaming car pirouetting into the path of oncoming traffic but I about threw my remote at the screen at some of the ridiculous cautions that were thrown or brought out by incompetent drivers like the aforementioned Roush crop. Never watching live again. Not even Homestead.

ARCA race at DuQuoin just started, first caution just came out for James Swanson spinning at lap 15.

I can't work out if Roush have just become terrible, and Biffle is actually doing a good job given the equipment. Or whether Biffle is past his peak and the other two are just failing at Cup level.

Given Stenhouse's Xfinity record, I'm thinking it's more the team that are having the crisis. Whilst I don't rate Bayne that highly, he runs reasonably well enough in Xfinity (pretty much a top 10 finish every other race) to suggest that he's not completely terrible. Yes, you'd expect those kind of finishes as half of the Xfinity teams don't stand a chance, but then Danica's record is appallingly bad compared to Bayne. There are worse drivers.

A team in such dire straights performance-wise like Roush should not be running 4 full-time Xfinity cars, half of which aren't even fully funded. That's spreading your resources too thin.

Best racing I've seen in a non-dirt NASCAR races I've seen in a long time! Very thankful for talented drivers like David Ragan, Jeb Burton, Trevor Bayne, Cole Whitt, JJ Yeley, Mike Bliss, Michael Annett, Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse, that they broke up the race so we didn't have to endure those dreary long green flag runs. :flag:

Wait, scratch that last part.

I wouldn't have included Bliss on the list. He finished only 4 laps down in a shitty, busted-ass car without the aid of any free passes. Bliss has always been undervalued as a pretty decent driver.

The package at Darlington with the low downforce and soft tires worked really well. Credit where credit is due, NASCAR got it right this time.

Now watch Brian France come out and say they're still looking for the package that delivers 3-wide finishes every race.
